A big congrats to the Birds and the Breds. NKY is as dominating as anyone in the state, period, this yr. I am not going to be one that jumps on the whole "M" word when describing these Birds. It doesnt really matter; because, everyone has an opinion, and I respect that. I actually should say a big thanks, because I have never seen one word motivate a group of guys more than this did.

 

I agree with Walter: this State Championship was decided in Johnsonville two weeks ago. We must not forget Christian County. They played to the best of their abilities and should be commended as well.

CC had absolutely no answer for Highlands speed tonite and CC had some of the best athletes in the State according to some, just ask them. Go Birds 20n10

I was doubting a lot of the people stating that Christian would win or give Highlands a game. The only thing I stated was that if anyone would beat them that it would have been Johnson Central, which didn't. It is very fair to say that the game between Highlands and Johnson Central was for the title, I believe that many believe that.

 

I thnk the championship game was a scrimmage played in August.::eek:

I still take umbrage with this mediocre tag. It's very demeaning, to both the Highlands players and the teams that they have played.

 

To be fair when Guru started a thread with "mediocre" in the title I do seem to remember him qualifying it with "by Highlands standards." He wasn't saying they were an "average" or "mediocre" team compared to the general population.

Christian Co does indeed have two of the best athletes in the state in Hickey and Tandy. For Highlands defense to bottle them up the way they did speaks volumes to how good this group really is.

 

They completely dominated one of the most athletic teams in the state.

 

Again, big props to Billy Huddleston. Not only did he send a message to all of kentucky about the mediocre comment, he also made the plays to back it up along with his other teammates. Just an all around great performance.

 

I think we can officially label Highlands current run a "dynasty."
