Great win Rebels,Great crowd and chris cook was the man running the ball in the second half.

ACS had a nice team with a few really good players but Boyle ran the ball down their throat in the second half and that was the difference.

Greatgame by both teams and ACS showed they can play with the best and proved alot of people wrong, on the other hand congrats to Boyle Co. on how they faced adversity when going into halftime trailing by 7 and being held scoreless in the first half for the first time all season. outstanding performance by Chris Cook as i was at the game and also believed he should have been player of the game, with a forced fumble, TD run, a huge first down run late in the fourth quarter, and the last second interception to end the game. CONGRATS REBELS AND GREAT LUCK NEXT YEAR!!!! You've made your school, fans and entire town very proud!

Whew, I'm tired. Got down to BG early and watched Mayfield clobber Hazard. The BC/ACS game was a great matchup. Congrats to both on a great season. I'm too tired to post anything else at this time.

So am I to believe that if the winner came from the west that it would be warranted to say that the real state championship occurred the week before in the western semifinal?

 

It's not enough that the winner of that game wins in the state title game, you have to be able to walk away with a definitive belief that the loser of the previous game in the east would also have won. And I don't believe you can definitively believe that here.

 

If you need it to be phrased in a way where it is that incorrect, the perception has been for those years that the east winner would have a walk over in the final game, thus rendering the real championship the week before. And in those three years, the east winner has had a real dogfight on their hands.

 

My thought process is this... everyone has kept saying that whoever wins between Boyle and Bell will win the title. For three straight years now the winner of that game has won the 4a state title. To me, that gives validity to all of the statements.

It didnt matter if it was Bullit East, Lone Oak or ACS... all three schools fell to the winners of the Boyle/Bell game.

They will be showing this game today at 3:00. the station is a CW out of Lexington. If you have Direct TV it is channel 14.

Gota give credit to ACS. For being the first time at State Coach Hood had his team ready for the start. Like others have said they have some really good ball players. #6 and #27 really impressed me last night. #2 had a nice arm and touch with the ball passing. Boyle came out in the second half and played Boyle football. Congrats Rebel players and thank you for the memories of the 2010 football season, you "Defended the Pride". :clap:

Looking forward to seeing the Rebs next season against the Birds. Have drove through Boyle many times and by their campus and they have great community support.

I can only speak for myself. I didnt predict a blow out. I had Boyle by 10, pulling away in the 2nd half. But I definitely felt last week that if Bell had won, they would have won state as well. I have felt that way for the last three years leading up to that game. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
