Maybe Alabama can play Boise State in the Gator Bowl now.

I kept rewinding that first missed FG, and I still think it was inside the uprights.

It appears that some have a loss of memory from a couple of seasons ago; anyone remember a certain bowl game between Utah and Alabama? I do.

I still remember that game, it was a complete beatdown by the guys in red, and I ain't talking bout the Tide.

You got that right!!!

Boise State's Bowl history since 2006.

2006 Fiesta Oklahoma (OT) 43-42 W

2007 Hawai'i East Carolina 38-41 L

2008 Poinsettia TCU 16-17 L

2009 Fiesta TCU 1 7-10 W

It was really close for sure.

My point exactly, and with the short uprights.................

The OT kick was one we've all seen a million times on TV and seen ruled good, despite the TV angle we saw? No clue on either, but would love to see some other angles, as they seemed to rule awfully quick on those kicsk??

No excuse for Boise however, as they had their chances to ice this one and failed. He could have kicked these glorified extra points with a little less doubt??

Heckova a game either way!!

The kicker's reaction on both kicks tells me that he missed both, particularly on the one in regulation. He didn't seem to have a beef with the call.

That could very well happen

If Bama had beaten Auburn, this Boise loss would have been absolutely disgusting to take. BUT fact is, Auburn will now roll over South Carolina and Oregon "should" beat their rivals in the Civil War. They were going to get left out of the National Title game anyway.

Now everyone will take their shots, makes you feel any better, go right ahead.

And there were seriously posters that felt that team was the best in the country and deserved to play for the title... Wow, wonder what everyone's excuse is gonna be for this one.

Boise lost and didn't make the plays to earn it after they started to coast. It happens sometimes after getting up so big and then relaxing. What's most disgusting is you will downplay how good Nevada actually was just because they aren't an SEC team... Surely they suck.

It was funny reading the feedback elsewhere and how a majority of people are having this "dance on the grave" mentality. I do hope that people realize that because of March Madness we see stories like Butler, Gonzaga, Davidson, etc. Do people understand that NONE of those teams would have gotten a shot under BCS current system and lack of a playoff. We don't know what a team like Boise could do against Oregon, wait, that's right they beat them last year AND beat them in 2008 IN Oregon. BUT they can't hang with the bigger schools, that's right.

Something else that bothers me, if Boise or a TCU did end up a major conference, don't people realize that they would also have a HUGE upgrade in talent. They would actually be BETTER than they are now, not worse.

No excuses, Boise lost to the better team tonight. I'm not jumping off any bandwagon because I wasn't on in the first place. I have no dog in the fight, I simply want the smaller schools with a chance.

It was a fun game to watch. Now we can sit back and see how this BCS plays out.

1. Can anyone Beat Auburn?

2. Will LSU slide in there?

Only thing I see LSU sliding into is the 3rd or 4th spot prior to the BCS championship, at which point Oregon loses to Auburn, TCU loses and Boise wins and everyone says we told you so about the SEC.

DISCLAIMER: I haven't looked at the potential BCS matchups so this is just my off the top of my head outlook.
