Boise let a huge lead slip away. I feel bad for them. UKMF you're crazy if you don't think any team in the country is hoping they don't have to face them in the bowl game. One loss does not make them an average team.

He never said they were just average. I don't think anyone disputes that Boise is good but they aren't the best team in the country like some, including you have claimed. The fact is they are a good team that plays a pitful schedule and they were exposed last night.

Only thing I see LSU sliding into is the 3rd or 4th spot prior to the BCS championship, at which point Oregon loses to Auburn, TCU loses and Boise wins and everyone says we told you so about the SEC.

DISCLAIMER: I haven't looked at the potential BCS matchups so this is just my off the top of my head outlook.

I don't disagree with you. I think LSU slides in to the National Title game if the Ole Ball Coach pulls the upset next week.

And there were seriously posters that felt that team was the best in the country and deserved to play for the title... Wow, wonder what everyone's excuse is gonna be for this one.

........and I was one of them and still feel that they are one of the top teams after that loss. Of course they are out of the NC picture now and should be, they lost. Boise lost to a pretty good team by missing two fg's and anyone that claims a team that has lost 1 regular season game in three years, beating the likes of Oklahoma, Oregon (twice, once at Oregon), Va. Tech and others is not a good football team I have to question just what they "think" they are looking at and just can't admit that a team not from the all mighty SEC can compete. (and imo the SEC is the best conference, no one is arguing that)

I just get sick of some people bashing other teams/conferences just bc they are not in a power conference doesn't mean they can't compete with teams from that conference. I would hate to think I was that narrow minded or blind.

Of course Boise shouldn't play for the title after that loss. I for one am not making any excuses for them or for my opinions before or after last night. so sorry to dissapoint . I can also respect other opinions without bashing the person or opinion. To do that tells alot more about the person bashing than anything that anyone else could say.

So, I am fine with everything and if the people patting themselves on the back so much they will throw a shoulder out I would recommend going to a good Chiropractor.:laugh::laugh:

Oh wait, maybe not. Anyone with another opinion just doesn't know what they are talking about.:D

They were exposed? They got a huge lead and just relaxed. It happens to the best of them... I still believe they are a top 3 team in the country and I hope they get matched up with an Alabama or LSU to prove it.

It was a fun game to watch. Now we can sit back and see how this BCS plays out.

1. Can anyone Beat Auburn?

2. Will LSU slide in there?

1.) I keep doubting Auburn and they keep winning, it doesn't look like they will lose now. They find a way and have proven that.

2.) I hope not, I just can't stand "the hat", only SEC coach I dislike more is Petrino. (lol)

They were exposed?

:ohbrother:Of course they were, any team that loses just one regular season football game in three years has to be only average. :p

They were up 24-7 at half, how is that a huge lead? I also hope they play Bama or LSU.

It was funny reading the feedback elsewhere and how a majority of people are having this "dance on the grave" mentality. I do hope that people realize that because of March Madness we see stories like Butler, Gonzaga, Davidson, etc. Do people understand that NONE of those teams would have gotten a shot under BCS current system and lack of a playoff. We don't know what a team like Boise could do against Oregon, wait, that's right they beat them last year AND beat them in 2008 IN Oregon. BUT they can't hang with the bigger schools, that's right.

Something else that bothers me, if Boise or a TCU did end up a major conference, don't people realize that they would also have a HUGE upgrade in talent. They would actually be BETTER than they are now, not worse.

No excuses, Boise lost to the better team tonight. I'm not jumping off any bandwagon because I wasn't on in the first place. I have no dog in the fight, I simply want the smaller schools with a chance.

Well said HC. :thumb:

I have never claimed they were the best team in the country. I think they can play with anyone, and to me they are the best one loss team in the country with the exception of Wisconsin. Oregon and Auburn have proven they are the two best in the country IMO. I hate Boise but to act like last night proves they aren't that good is crazy. No one wants a piece of Boise in a bowl game and that includes Bama and LSU.

Boise lost and didn't make the plays to earn it after they started to coast. It happens sometimes after getting up so big and then relaxing. What's most disgusting is you will downplay how good Nevada actually was just because they aren't an SEC team... Surely they suck.
   Can't say I disagree at all.

I didn't realize a 3 score game was close. My apologies.

They lost to Hawaii....Sorry, they're a decent little team, but no where near a team that should be able to play with the "best team in the country" as some have touted them.

The same Hawaii teams that's #30 in the country. It's not like we're talking about WKU here...

I didn't realize a 3 score game was close. My apologies.

I didn't know a 3 score game in the 2nd quarter was a huge lead. My apologies. I guess by looking at the final score it wasn't.
