That's what Champions do. Good to see that they are not taking X lightly - never thought they would. ONe more step Rocks.

This game scares me. The first game was so one sided for two reasons. X could not get any pressure on Wright in the first game. The other big factor was that they couldn't get their running game into high gear. If they fix one of those things it is a close game. If they fix both, X can win. I would bet that the X running game will be much better than it was in the first game. The big question is whether they can get pressure on Wright without leaving Trinity's great offensive weapons open. My guess is that X will be much better than the first game, just not quite good enough.

T has indeed been vulnerable to the run on occasion.

^^^Afraid you are mistaken there Poster, XGrad you to.

So if Henderson County beats X in the finals who is the 6A State Champ?

My Vegas number cruncher says the odds of Henderson beating X in the state finals is 20,000 to 1. In fact it is 4,000 to 1 that those two teams make it to the state final game. I think the PJCS winner on Friday has a little easier game the following week, and an even easier one in the state finals. The loser of the PJCS game will be the second-best team in the state (like Male was in 2006). That's just how the brackets play out. Being state runner-up is great, but anyone who think "state runner-up" = "2nd best team in the state" is a little out of touch.

The Tigers may have too many points to makeup, but T has done it in the past. I think we need the perfect storm. Keep the ball on the ground and the clock running. While we didn't beat Brohm's teams, it gave us the chance while Brian was on the sidelines watching the game. T's sophs have to play like sophs.

The Tigers run game showed flashes of brilliance last time we played them, and given how we have given up yards on the ground at times this season I have my concerns about this one. I think we shell shocked the Tigers early in the last game and they are much better than they showed the first time. I wouldn't be shocked to see a tight game this time around.

I agree. The first fumble and td completely rattled the Tigers and they never recoverred. No question that they were outplayed.

Wasn't it 48-0? Flashes of brilliance? Thank you for taking it easy on us....

Trinity will be all business in this one and cruise in to the a semi final match up in nky against either Ryle or SK.

Rocks win by atleast 4 td's.

Looking forward to seeing the "Green Machine" in nky next week.

Never say never upsets do happen in this series and there has been a few T wins when they had no business beating the Tigers and X has and a few upsets as well . Tigers have to play inspired error free football and get the bounces to go their way. The Tigers big play guys have to come through and make plays and the defense has got to step up. Is all this likely no but it is not impossible either I have seen some crazy things happen in this game over the years. The longer the Tigers stay in this game the better the chance for upset because the have the ability to come back and finish strong.Go St.X Tigers the original big green & gold machine!

I think that is entirely accurate and dead on. This is by no means a "given game" for the Rocks. Wounded Tigers are much more dangerous.

I am very concerned about this one !!!!!
