Dixie played an excellent game. They gave a D-1 QB plenty of time to throw and he did a great job, too bad to see him get ejected in the end, hopefully, it doesn't carry over to next year. The young Birdie receivers have to step up way too many drops tonight. Highlands running game has not been there, the QB draw is the most effective rushing play and boy did McCoy step up. That kid can fly, he was touching Will Bardo speed out there. If there going to give it to someone in the backfield, I wish True would get more touches he can gain yards very nice down hill runner.

 

I don't see him as anywhere near a D-1 QB. While he may be a very gifted athlete, he's a long way from being a good teammate or a good coachable kid. At one point, the O-coordinator had him by the face mask to get his attention while he was chirping to another coach. May be a case of reading his own press unfortunately.

Towles carried the Birds during the comeback and McCoy came off the bench like a veteran. Dixie played a great game and they should hold their heads high.

May be but I heard that he has already made a trip to ND even though he has little interest in them and that 3 of the top SEC programs are very much interested (Florida, Alabama and Auburn).

Those two need to be out on the field together next week. Just imagine the things they would do offensively....

WR's did have some drops but Patrick was also flinging the ball high a few times.

Agreed! Towles is a fabulous talent, I hope he is ok. Donovan can flat out carry the rock!! The options with those two in the game together are unlimited. Who would be the back up QB though? Do you risk injury with both? Will it matter? Patrick may be injured. I hope not. Hope to see Pat on the field leading the Birds next Friday night.

They had better throw everything out of the garage next week cuz this is State next week. A tandem run threat like that would open up the field for Towles. Guaranteed success with this type offense against a team like Central.

I don't see it that way. They had come from behind to go up 14 or so. Defense was playing well. I just don't see him as the difference. I really can't say any one person was as there were several stars.

What happened in the game for the ejection? Sorry if I am a late comer on this
