Exactly when did he go out? Didn't Ryle score a couple of TD's with him in the game? Not saying the loss of a player like him didn't have an effect, but let's also not imply Ryle had no offensive success when he was in the game.

First, congratulations to the Raiders. They beat the Birds in every phase of the game except possibly special teams. They controlled the line of scrimmage on both sides, they had a great game plan, they played smart, disciplined football and they and their fans had great enthusiasm. A winning formula and one that can take them well into the playoffs if they maintain it. Good luck!

I was watching a game on ESPNU (Bethune Cookman and somebody) and the lights in the stadium (and for miles around, evidently) went out for something like 2 hours.

 

Sounds from all accounts that this one (Ryle-HHS) would have been a great one to watch.

I didn't DVR this game so I'll ask those that did. Did the kid get the ball across the goal line? It looked like his right foot hit the pylon but the ball was in his left hand which wasn't across the goal line. The official right there seemed to indicate it wasn't a score. Maybe the official from across the field had a better angle. Just curious as to what the replay showed.

It was a clear score. The official right there gave the thumbs up to his partner watching the line...
