October 22, 201015 yr A couple of years ago I went to see the Fabulous Thunderbirds at the Taft. Their opening act was Junior Brown. I am not a country music fan by any stretch, but Junior Brown on the double neck guitar was amazing. I saw Leo Kottke at the Kentucky Theatre in Lexington and Eric Clapton at Riverfront Coliseum. I would rate Junior the most entertaining guitar player of the three. Then he must have been pretty impressive. I've never had the pleasure of seeing Clapton in concert (although I am old enough to remember "Clapton is God"). But I did see Leo Kottke back in the 70s. He was good enough that I can't remember who he warmed up for.:thumb: But then again, I can't remember a lot of things from the 70s.

October 22, 201015 yr David Bowie, around 1990 in the outdoor amphitheater in Indy. He had a 1-900 number to requests songs you wanted to hear. He played every hit and vowed never to play them again in concert. i saw him years later in Vegas with 9" nails and the only song he played that I had heard of was "pressure".
October 22, 201015 yr I would say the best concert I have ever been to was the Kiss/Aerosmith Concert. I was in the 2nd row middle stage and it was unreal. Pretty cool!! You need to get out more. Just kidding Luckily I was able to spend most of my summers in college working at Riverbend setting up the concerts and usually running spot lights for the shows. While it wasn't their "show," my favorite set was by Audio Slave at Lollapalooza. I always enjoyed Dave's show.
October 22, 201015 yr Guns N Roses with Aerosmith at Buckeye Lake was great......Kiss at Rupp was super. I saw Steve Earle play the bar at the Holiday Inn (?) in Prestonsburg. That was a riot!

October 23, 201015 yr Kiss in 1976, Stage show was unbelievable- Motley Crue 198?, pyrotechnics blew you away- VanHalen, 1984 or 1988, Dave or Sammy both were great REO Speedwagon in the 70's was a killer show before they went all bubblegum pop.

Def Leppard opening up for Blackfoot at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh on the High N Dry tour '81. Tesla at Bogart's in Cincinnati many times. Kiss on the reunion tour at Tiger stadium in the 5th row with Alice In Chains opening up. Sat right beside Sebastian Bach.
