Wooo, they resigned Corky Miller.

Miller re-signed shortly after he became a free agent. I like the move. Miller played relatively well this last season and he's been great with the young pitchers. Hopefully he won't be called on to do much at the MLB level, but if he is, you know he'll be ready & be familiar with the pitching staff.

Every team needs a competent third catcher ... Miller certainly is that.

^ Good to hear. Those 2 were probably the best catching tandem the league.

I will answer my own question.

Ranks 3rd in RBI

Ranks 2nd in BA

Ranks 3rd in OBP

In all of MLB.

francisco cordero available. #reds may even chip in a few dollars

Are the Reds at all interested in Marco Scutaro? He'd provide a solid bat at the top of the lineup & become the starting SS. Scutaro could also be a potential replacement at third if/when Rolen goes down.

Scutaro is reasonably affordable. $5 million this year with $6 million option for next year.

I think Podsednik could help the Reds but I don't think we're going to part with Jonny Gomes. The two in a platoon type situation would make for an interesting lineup.

I will answer my own question.

Catching was one of the biggest upgrades over the last couple of seasons. I like what they have done.
