October 2, 201016 yr Disappointing game. UK is not as good as I thought they might be. Ole Miss is better than they were at the beginning of the season, but neither team finishes in the top 4 of their division IMO.
October 2, 201016 yr Had UK pulled their heads out of their rears for 3/4 of the game.... they win. However, same old, same old.
October 2, 201016 yr Gave them 21 points and the at the start of the third two PF penalities and seven more points given away. Hartline starting to look like the old Hartline and no down field passing at all. Defense is terrible, cannot stop anyone. Some of those receivers had no one around them. WUK knows Massoli runs alot and we totally gets sucked in on that bootleg. Let me say again, TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
October 2, 201016 yr Not really sure where to start other than to say out side of the field goal kicker is was a poor performance. The defense was awful especially in the 3rd quarter. Special teams gave up a big return and kicked two kickoffs out of bounds. Cobb fumbled to set up a touchdown and dropped a first down pass. Matthews fumbled and it lead to a score. Hartline threw an int to set up another td. Dumb personal foul penalties and on and on and on.
October 2, 201016 yr Another middle of the pack SEC team at best for U.K.. I would love to see it one day but imo U.K. will never be a top level team in this conference. Other SEC teams have far more depth and talent, even at the 2nd and 3rd teams as well. U.K. has a couple of top level talent type SEC players, some middle at best talent and more than the share of flat out bad D1 college players. Let's face it, Ole Miss is not exactly a very good SEC team amd this defense couldn't tackle their grandmother.
October 2, 201016 yr UK has yet to show the emotional/mental toughness that good teams have, in order to win on the road. I hope they have it within themselves and it will be brought out. It is obvious that the Cats cannot win on talent alone---they are terrible tacklers on slow on defense. They need to out-tough people - both physically and mentally.
October 2, 201016 yr Author Nobody wants to hear it, but unless you're already Florida, Alabama, etc.; you MUST schedule somebody besides the Little Sisters of the Poor before hitting your conference schedule. Unless, that is, 7-8 wins and repeat visits to the Toilet Bowl are good enough for you. Disappointing showing today.

October 2, 201016 yr I've been a die hard honest UK fan since around 80 when my dad and uncle started taking me to games as a kid. I really felt like this year they would be down other than Locke/Cobb. It is what it is. They aren't that good and play in the toughest division in football. Schedule wise they can go and win a small bowl game. I do back Joker in I feel like he will get the talent he wants if given time. The defense has lost so many studs including to the NFL that it's caught up I think. Offense has a couple of weapons but misses some guys up front and don't have a QB they believe in. WR's have been down since Johnson/Burton/Tammie IMO.
October 2, 201016 yr This was a game that UK shouldn't have lost. This one falls on the offense and special teams play. The yardage and point totals look good for the offense but 3 turnovers resulted in 21 points and a long punt return gave Ole Miss 7 more. If the Wildcats hang onto the ball they win this one 35-21. The defense wasn't great but it is hard to contain a multi-threat quarterback like Masoli when you continually give him the ball in the Red Zone. When the Rebels had to drive the length of the field they struggled. Very disappointing loss. Ole Miss was no better, and probably not as good as Kentucky.

Who did Arkansas, Mississippi State, Georgia and South Carolina play OOC early this season?
October 2, 201016 yr Hey a win is a win. And at least two of the turnovers were because Ole Miss popped em in the mouth. But it was a good game and I'm happy to have a win.
