Next year will be strong for QB in the draft. Cincy would be fools to pass one up.

OK not in the 1st round. Who you going to get in the 2nd round next year that you would expext to turn the keys over to in a year or two?

They probably won't have a top 15 pick. That will prob write off Locker, Luck, Mallett. After that they have to do their homework. I would have liked to have had Colt McCoy sitting on the bench.

Yea and it was a horrendous pick. No way we shouldve ever drafted him. They got it right with Gresham and Shipley though

If they are in a position to get Luck or Mallett- it might be a good idea for them. Otherwise, wouldn't an o-linemen be a better move for the immediate future?

Yep I agree. No way they get Luck and I don't think Mallet will fall either. If they do then no way they should pass up on them

CP sure doesn't look like the QB of a few years ago. Look at all the weapons he has, and he still struggles.

By the same token, however, look at the Steelers. They're winning with Charlie Batch, for crying out loud. Is having a top-5 QB all it's cracked up to be - especially if you've got a stout defense?

If a QB falls then they shouldn't pass one up. Let Carson groom him for a year and then see if he is ready to take the reins. The mock draft I just looked at has Cincy actually taking Mallet at number 18 with Luck and Locker already going in the top 10.

Look at the list of Super Bowl Champions for the last 20 years. The only 2 that you can say won the Super Bowl with a mediocre quarterback are the 2007 Giants and the 2001 Ravens. Having a great defense is very important but the Bengals defense is no better than the Ravens or Steelers and both have better quarterbacks at this point in time.

Batch played better football today than Palmer has all season...

I don't think they should draft a QB, but the need to go out in free agency and get one!

This team is not young (Chad, Owens -1 yr deal, B. Williams, R. Williams, D. Jones, and might lose Joseph in FA) and can't afford to go through a couple of years of growing pains. There is a small margin of time for the Bengals to win. They need a veteran QB so they give themselves the best chance to win next year.

As have most of the QBs in the NFL. I'm watching Vick go wild right now

Wish #7 was on our team..
