If HHS plays like they did against Boone County, they will probably win handily. If they don't, then it could be interesting...

I have no clue what Eastern has this season but I dont think it really matters. The Birds will roll in Da Lou.

Birds 42

Eastern 7

Don't know much about Louisville Eastern. If I get to see some film I may know better. However, rumor from the more southern part of the state is that Highlands should win this game.

Eastern is 3-1, losing to Male by seven in week one. Against the same opponents they were 1-3 in '09. From the looks of it they've either improved greatly or their opponents have digressed.

I don't think Eastern is as good as Manual so I'd look for the Birds to roll again. Highlands by 35 or more. Birds offense will put on another show and the defense will continue to bring the wood week in and week out.

Highlands- 49

Easter- 7

Defensively, I don't see another team this year putting more points on the board than Withrow put up on the Birds. Offensively for Highlands, I really don't see Eastern holding the Birds under 30pts. Birds win.

Given the St X vs Male results and Eastern losing to Male in a close one, wouldn't one think they are above the Manual level and look for a competitive game?

Highlands wins by double digits..........

Unless Male has gotten much better since the opening week, or unless Eastern has gotten worse since then, this game could be more competitive than some people think.

I am eager to see how the Bluebirds' defense stacks up against Eastern's Jon Davis, who is UK-bound. I'm thinking he may be the best all-around football player Highlands lines up against in a real game this year (and before some of you guys start saying that Trinity's James Quick is better, remember that was in a scrimmage, not a real game)!

Highlands in a tough one early on. Birds by 28.

I agree with you jb - this game could be a challenge. I know nothing about Eastern other than looking at their scores and opponents. But looking at those scores and opponents tells me Eastern could be more of a challenge than many expect. I am still going with Highlands, and more than likely by more than a couple scores, but if they lost it would not be the most shocking thing I have seen in football.
