Really? 40? That's a bold prediction, seeing as to how HHS allowed Beechwood to score 24 and Withrow to score 27 points. I realize that BW put up points against HHS' subs, but that wasn't the case against Withrow! It's my understanding that Highlands' run defense was a little shaky at times during the Ryle game (most notably in the first half). I agree with Ryan Ernst that stopping Jon Davis will be a challenge for Highlands' defense. I have no clue whether Eastern has any kind of passing game, and if they don't HHS will have a big advantage. However, every source I've heard from says the Davis kid is quite a football player.

Agree he will be quite a player perhaps. A lot of upside doesn't equate to great play right now. Right now he couldn't carry Travis Elliott's water bottle.

Defensively' date=' I don't see another team this year putting more points on the board than Withrow put up on the Birds. Offensively for Highlands, I really don't see Eastern holding the Birds under 30pts. Birds win.[/quote']

I know football is all about matchups but how in the world did the Withrow Tigers play with HHS? Withrow just got beat by Taft, was it just an off night for HHS?

Highlands folks, I'm thinking about making the trip up to Louisville on Saturday for this one, so long as there is no rain. If I'm there I'll be in some form of Garrard County shirt and I'll sit on the Birds side. Come by and say hi if you see me, and I'll let you know later this week for sure if I'm coming.

After seeing Davis on film, I agree with BPiccolo that Elliott from Ryle is the more punishing RB. From the small sample size I observed, Davis seems to be a project for UK. Defensively he appears to take plays off.

As for the game, HHS 49, Eastern 14.

Ill be in attendance. Highlands shouldn't have any problem dismantling Eastern. I say the Birds take home the victory 49-14.

I'd like to make the trip, but I'd rather sit in a tree. Is it on the radio?

Highlands by one over the Eastern Jefferson County power Eastern.

This could very well be an upset waiting to happen. I think Eastern will play very competitive with Highlands. I expect FtH to win, but, it won't be a blowout...Highlands 28 Eastern 21
