I have talked to Coach Warner about passing the football on more than one occasion and I firmly believe he "gets it."

 

I have never gotten the impression that Coach Warner is anti-passing. He's a run-first guy, but so are alot of people. He isn't even close to being run-first the way Owen Hauck was run-first/run-only.

WOW! SK taking 6A. I had no idea they are this good.

 

 

We clearly have no chance against that stellar O-Line and a defense that rarely surrenders many points.

 

I think we'll just have to call the game and forfeit if we face the juggernaut that uk#1fan describes.

I noticed the same thing last night in the Ryle-NCC game. Elliott got the majority of his yardage on runs to the outside where he simply beat the defenders to the edge. He also showed nice break away speed on two long runs, one of which was a 76 yard td called back where he had a man a step behind him and then simply burst away.

 

I really like Ryle to sweep NKY 6A competition. Too much balance with Elliott toting the rock and Hemple throwing.

 

One thing I don't understand is why Lonkard doesn't play more offense? I realize he's the back up Qb and starts Db, but man I really think he could be a dynamite slot receiver.

 

I like the way Ryle utilizes Mullins at different positions though. I think he should be out wide a little more to get him open in space, but he also does a nice job at FB for the Raiders.

I think Lonkard is at the slot fairly regularly for Ryle. I would say he's in for the vast majoirty of offensive plays, plus he does kick and punt returns. I don't, however, think he is playing much at DB. I don't recall him being back there much last night, but maybe I just missed him.
