Somerset looked a bit ragged but they played a bunch of kids the whole game and it seemed to prevent them from really getting in a rhythm on offense or defense. The Briar Jumpers had too many penalties, missed too many tackles and the offensive line is still a work in progress but they did enough to win and everyone came out healthy. Now time to get to work to fix what needs to be fixed before the Correll Bowl and Southwestern next week. Good luck the rest of the way to Lynn Camp and thanks for the hospitality last night. Everyone was very nice and you did a great job putting on the Pioneer Bowl!

Somerset has a LOT of speed. LC did some things well but just could not stop the Jumpers. The Cats youth appeared quite a bit tonight, but many of the youngsters stepped up and showed some promise. Tough 1st game of a tough 3 game stretch but the kids will learn from it. Congrats to the Jumpers!
