August 19, 201016 yr He said they are beating meatballs as well but a)they've had better success against good teams and b)they have 2 REALLY good pitchers. But they aren't beating the meatballs frequently enough. If so, by all other indications, they'd be running away with the Central. If he wanted to say that the Cards are more suited for a 5 or 7 game series, that's tough to argue. You play far more games against mediocre teams in the regular season than you do the elite teams. You need to be able to beat everyone. Neither the Reds nor the Cards have shown they are capable of doing that.

August 19, 201016 yr That's exactly what he's saying. That is not my definition of a fraud. My definition of a fraud is a team in first that doesn't belong or doesn't deserve to go to the playoffs. If they go, they will most certainly earn the right. AND, that is definitely a successful season for a team that wasn't picked to win the division.

As I said earlier, not any knowledgeable Reds fan thinks this team WILL win the WS. That's what he's making it seem like. Most Reds fans I talk to just want them to make the playoffs.

If were talking about "the girl that lives down the street from me" scale, she's a ten for sure, though.
