Agreed, but while letting St. Louis off the hook. A fraud works both ways, a team that has a good record against good competition and a horrendous record against terrible competition is also fraudulent. At the time of his statement it these two teams were almost deadlocked.

He also said he could be wrong and they could win. He said that if the Cards made the playoffs their staff was set up better than the Reds. Wrong? He was wrong on Votto.

Who says post season is dominated by pitching? Him? I seem to remember Manny, Papi, A Roid, Pujols, Vlad and other elite offensive players getting rings recently. Their top 2 is set up better. Outside of that and a fading Garcia their pitching is shaky at best. He made hollow surface points...

September 1, 201016 yr One other thing concerning pitching. What the Reds are becoming is a team that if they have the lead after 6 you are in deep trouble. The thoughts of coming back against Chapman, Massett, and Cordero are frightening. FWIW, Massett has been unhittable for about 2 months.

It's not their fault. They've done what they've been asked to do. So, the 26-12 stat you cite is misleading when it comes to supporting Herd's contention that the Reds do not have an ace. No one is saying they're bad pitches. The Reds wouldn't be in first with bad pitchers. You know and I know that post-season play in all sports is completely different than the regular season. So can the 1 and 2 beat the top teams going against the other team's top pitchers? Hollow surface points? I would disagree but that's me.
