LeBron is must watch television. From a fan of the game standpoint, I enjoy LeBron. He does not have that winner's mentality which would take him to the next level. He may attain that status due to his situation in Miami, but it will be fool's gold, so to speak.

 

In thinking about LeBron, to me he is the Alex Rodriguez of the NBA. Both are full of drama. More talented than anyone in the game. Pressure has a tendency to get to them in big moments. A-Rod, after years of trying was able to pull through when it mattered. I expect the same of James and a lot of people will forget about this a few rings down the road.

 

That is a good analogy. And I would say my feelings about LeBron today are the same as towards A-Rod ... I respect the talent but am not a fan. I don't hate him. I'm just not a fan. Honestly, I am having a hard time thinking of one professional athlete that I am truly a fan of. I enjoy watching many and find someone to root for in games and competitions, but I can't think of one athlete I would consider myself a fan of.

Ask me in a month. I'm still so mad about the show and his overall arrogance in the last few weeks. I do know that I still hate DWade and Riley, and I hate Bosh more than any of them.

I have never been a fan of Lebron. However he is now playing with my favorite player in Wade, so I am going to have to be a Lebron fan now.

I like Lebron. Especially the fact he has no social injuries.

Indifferent really. If he hadn't have gone to the Heat I wouldn't care at all. Now I want him to win championships.

By the way, in a related note, did everyone hear that LeBron got booed at Carmelo Anthony's wedding in NY? I think LeBron needs to brace for a lot of that this year. It is going to be interesting to see how he handles all the negative that he will surely face this year for the first time in his career.

I would have preferred to have seen him take charge of his own team whether it be Chicago or wherever but I am not mad at him for that nor do I like him any less. Because in America we build up our sports stars. The building on him began when he was in junior high. When was the last time we watched someone with a real chance to be the greatest ever to play a sport choose to go play second banana to another superstar while entering his prime?

I dunno, personally I don't see ego getting in the way of his decision. If he is for real...he won't be second banana on that team. Instead of 30pts 7 boards & 7 assist. It might be 24pts, 10 boards & 10 assist. I can see him averaging a triple double.

Factor in no state income tax in Florida. I am not sure if he is actually making more or less in Miami. If he took a cut, I don't think it is much of a cut.

So its okay if Kobe can have Shaq, Gasol, Robert Horry (who has 7 rings!), Fisher, Odom, Divac, Glen Rice, Ron Harper, Rick Fox, etc. Not to mention the greatest coach of all time running the show, but Lebron is considered less by getting to play with other good players? I'm still not buying into the Lebron can't do this, or can't do that argument now that he actually has star players around him. Kobe didn't even make it out of the first round when surrounded by a Lebron like Cleveland team, so I just don't get it? Why does everyone think Lebron has to be the lone wolf on a mediocre team and win before he finally gets some cred? Blows my mind.

With what he makes just from Nike and Gatorade I don't think his NBA salary makes much difference. That said I like watching him play.
