July 9, 201016 yr Author He doesn't want the me/hero status but he has a one hour special dedicated to himself. Makes sense. I'm talking about on the court. Off the court and personality he loves the attention but when it comes to playing the game of basketball he wants the surrounding cast around him to win. He is an excellent passer and passes the ball quite a bit, not his fault the teammates couldn't make the shots. I've already said more than once that I totally disagree with this whole one-hour special announcement but I could care less about his personality.

July 9, 201016 yr You mean how he chokes under pressure? He has some successes in the playoffs and some failures as well. Even MJ had failures in the playoffs. I don't think that is an accurate statement. 25 consecutive points in the 4th against Detroit, game winning shot against Orlando last year in ECFs are a couple of impressive successes.

July 9, 201016 yr You know, the more I think about it, the less this really bothers me. Its really ESPN that has bothered me about all this. About a month ago I was arguing with some friends and I said, as long as he doesn't go to the Knicks or Nets, I will be happy because if he goes there, it is all about him and money. If he goes to Miami or Chicago, it won't bother me because he is wanting to win. So with all that said, I don't hate LeBron. I wish him well, however I do think this will always hurt him in the discussions about All-Time Greatest, and I'm still cheering for the Magic. ESPN gets my annoyance. I take back a few statements about James lol.

People have questioned his desire to win, he gave up against the Celtics IMO, and now he just has to win to be satisfied? Maybe he just has to win so he can take some of the heat off of him, while he tries to become a billionaire?

I definitely agree that this will help marketability and I believe that coming to Miami will increase it more than if he went to the Knicks or any other team just because of all the hype, attention, and city that he is in. I'm sure he took his marketability into account when deciding where to go and I'm sure if they win championships then he'll make a boatload more. I'm sure he is thinking about "me" when doing this. I also believe his basketball desire is solely based on winning championships. It's not like Lebron only stayed with the Cavs for 3 years or demanded a trade from them, he stayed for 7 years and wanted to stay more if they could have won a championship. Come on now guys.

July 9, 201016 yr I think most of ya'll hating on LeBron need to come to the same realization that I did. It's not LeBron you are mad it, its ESPN. They are the reason I want to see Strausburg not have a .500 season. They are the reason I want to see Farve throw 4 INT's in a game and not win the SuperBowl. They are the reason I want the Heat to now lose to the Magic in the playoffs. ESPN is the enemy...not LeBron!

I can't stand the way ESPN hypes up these players. Especially before they've ever played a single game in the majors leagues. ESPN hyped all of this up for the last two years.
