July 6, 201016 yr His three HR's made up for his abysmal past week. If the pitcher gets a hit there it's 2-1 instead of 1-1 with a man on 3rd. Could have been costly. Stubbs went 6/20 with 3 HR & 6 RBI last week. He struck out a lot, but I'll take those numbers. Granted, he was having a horrible week until the 3 HR game...
July 6, 201016 yr I'm starting to really like Jordan Smith. I didn't know much about him when he got moved up, other than the fact that he was the closer in Carolina. I like his attitude on the mound though. He's aggressive & he throws strikes. What can you say about Joey Votto & Scott Rolen? They're simply getting it done. The same could be said for Jonny Gomes, Phillips, and to a lesser degree Jay Bruce & Stubbs. Even Corky Miller has been great this season. I'm excited about the all star break & game. It'll be refreshing to see multiple Reds play. Volquez won't be back until after the break. It sounds like Maloney may be on his way up if Harang can't go...

I've had my complaints about Stubbs but I'm not saying he shouldn't be our everyday CFer. I believe he'll end up being there for a long time and I'm sticking with him. I just got frustrated with him for a little. If we can execute more with a man on 3rd less than 2 outs, I have no complaints. How am I the most negative? I complain literally about 1 to 2 issues.

Maybe Bruce was his windmill for the day.
