July 11, 201016 yr 7-7 over the 14 game stretch and looks like a 1 game lead at the break... I would have taken that before the 14 game stretch. Friday's loss was brutal and the last two haven't been that neat. It's nice to be in the lead at the break though.
July 11, 201016 yr Author Chris Welsh gave a stat that he had read in an article from a writer from St. Louis. Only 1 time since 1954 have the Cardinals won a division when not leading at the All-Star break. Let's hope that trend continues.

The Phillies had their top two pitchers going in the next two games, and I knew it was going to be tough scoring runs. If you had told me that Reds pitching would give up only 2 runs over those two games, I would have liked their chances for at least a split. Oh well. It's time for them to get a nice little break, and hopefully the bats will come alive when they return home next Friday. I really like the Reds chances the 2nd half of the season with the way the rotation is looking.

One reason is that he'll probably go at least 2 innings on Tuesday night, and the 2nd reason is that I'll be at the Saturday night game. :lol:

What morsel of relevance does it have to this year's St Louis and Cincy teams? Interesting tidbit sure, but absolutely meaningless for 2010.

Seriously do you think winning Thursday night would have caused the Reds to hit better against Halladay or Hamels?
