I hate to beat a dead horse but that's why ALL the linemen are down in the valley. Correct me if I'm wrong but I saw a couple running backs as well down there right? I think it is so important to hit the sleds and do all teh footwork down there. The pictures are great!!! I love seeing them get after it.

To beat that same dead horse...the sled is a GREAT tool to get the line firing off in unison. It, however, doesn't do anything to help footwork technique (pulling, trapping, snapping, double-team, etc...). If they're rotating backs to the valley, they could rotate centers to the turf, no? And the QB's need to be comfortable recieving the snaps. OK, I'm done...on to a new, live horse!

You should move on because you are making yourself look silly my friend. You know, as the father of a former O lineman, as do I that the O linemen do a lot more than just hit the sled while in Death Valley. They spent a considerable amount of time when I was up there watching them on Tues and Wed working on footwork technique and quickness. Do you really think that after all these years and all the success that Mueller and Turner no longer know how to coach? You are killing me. :laugh: Heck, you are staring to sound like that certain poster whom I won't mention that made the post about the worst O line ever a couple of years ago (sorry RaiderBird, you'll never live that one down. Oh and by the way, if you look at the tape of that game, the problems were not even primarily with the interior O line in that game). You also know that the centers and qbs get thousands of snaps outside the 7s competitions. I guarantee you Pat will be more than comfortable receiving snaps before the season begins.

I hope your right but I have to agree with UCRN, it wouldn't hurt to have the centers working on snaps as well. This has been a problem over the years and I personnally don't understand why they don't take the opportunity during the 7 on 7's to work on this. The center has the snap to worry about and getting to his block at the same time, it may seem simple but I don't think you can ever practice it enough.

Who else has been taking snaps at Quarterback during these 7 on 7's? Who are some of the receivers that have looked good thus far? Who is working out at the tight end position? I have to work so I do not get to see any of these 7 on 7's unless they were to be held in the evening.

I do too. But with basically an entirely new O line coming into place and the only returning starter playing a new position, I want the O line as a unit to get as many reps as possible working together before the season begins.

I am capable of holding multiple titles and doing multiple tasks; thank you very much. But in this case the Mayor of Mouthiness title belongs elsewhere.

McCoy has been taking a lot of snaps. From what I have seen Gall, Sheehan, and Gold have the upper hand..
