Question: According to Highlands, the second Ryle game is on October 29 (a Friday) at 7:30pm, while the KHSAA has the game listed as being on Thursday, October 28 at 7pm. Which is correct? I thought I heard that this game would be shown on Fox Sports Ohio on Thursday.

I believe the game is on Thursday, televised by FSN OH. I can only imagine they would move the frosh game to Wednesday night.

I haven't seen the schedule yet, but I'm sure nkysports.com will do atleast 1 Highlands game on the road this year.

HHS and Holmes go 7 on 7 Tues from 9 to 12.

 

Read a re-cap of this scrimmage elsewhere and here is what I gathered:

 

Towles is really, really good and his deep ball to Gold and Sheehan is almost automatic.

Gold and Sheehan should be the go to receivers this year for the Birds.

 

Brendan/Brandon (?) SUllivan is an absolute beast defensively and rocked up.

Birds pass defense may need some work as they struggled mightily to contain Holmes athleticism, especially 6'4 soph Desean Peterson.

 

While Highlands is going to be extremely good this year, Holmes looked very good against the Birds as well and may end up being a top 5 team here in nky like predicted by several.

When is the HHS-Trinity scrimmage set to begin? HHS' schedule says 7:30pm while it's posted as 7pm on BGP.

JB, ususally in NKY the game times start at 7. I believe that was decided on by the NKY coaches. Other areas of the state games begin at 7:30. If the coaches agree to change the time for whatever reason , the games start at 7:30. I know the first Ryle game is going to start at 7:30 due to pregame festivities at Highlands.

Before the season starts, I thought it would be interesting to hear some predictions about which 2010 opponent will give Highlands its toughest challenge during the REGULAR SEASON. Since Highlands is playing Ryle twice (at HHS early in the season and at Ryle late in the season), be sure to specify which of the Highlands-Ryle games will be toughest for HHS, if you happen to choose Ryle.

 

Of note, HHS' 2010 regular season schedule can be found in an earlier post on this thread.

 

A lot of people are probably thinking Ryle, but I am going to say Cincinnati Withrow. Highlands played them last year and the final score was 21-0 HHS. Withrow usually fields a very athletic team, and if they play up to their potential against HHS the Bluebirds could have a real fight on their hands.
