Track the Reds (Week 12)

Featured Replies

Nice to finish that West Coast trip .500 lol. Hopefully with a day off, they can come back home and rock the Indians.

Anyone else wish we still had Josh Hamilton? Man, what a month of June that guy is having. Probably would have won a few more this month if he were still around (Not saying I wouldn't have made the trade).

That's the easiest question ever posed on BGP...Absolutely nothing, but the firing of Dusty will make him happy when it comes to the Reds, and even then I'm sure he'll be like the Tubby bashers and constantly bring him up, 2-3 years down the road.

Heck, they could win 15-0 and he'd harp on Dusty taking the starter out after 8 innings.

That and watching my comments bother some of you guys enough to make you respond like this. All I want to see is this team get to the playoffs and I don't see Dusty being the one to get them there.

Nope...

I wasn't being serious...I'm very happy with our outfielders. I was just commenting on how well he has done this month.

Volquez hit 98 once and 97 several times on the gun in his start.

Good series by the Redlegs in Oakland. Can we play Oakland 40 times a year, please?

Just when you think this team is headed for big time fall, they bounce back. Hopefully, they can get another sweep this weekend.

I believe Voltron has yet to give up a free pass, and that is impressive for a guy who's had his elbow redone. TJ surgery used to be an 18 month rehab and Edinson is playing at a high level 10 months after the surgery.

You couldn't just stay away could you? The Reds have a good series, and you have to drop by. If they struggle against the Indians I'm giving you the boot. :sssh::D

It probably isn't a coincidence that he got a 50 game suspension for PED's. My guess is he really didn't fail the test(s) for the reasons he said. Maybe he did, but I'm not buying it. Also, if I were in his position I can't honestly say I wouldn't have done the same if he did indeed take PED's to help w/ the recocvery.

You're a good one to talk, beach boy. Had you stayed home and not went beachcombing we might be three games up right now. lol

Not everyone thought the sky was falling. This team is different than in year's past, and the pitching staff is much better. A reliever here & there is much easier to find than what we've had to do in the past. Volquez & Hanigan are both going to be back soon. Add Chapman & Lecure to the bullpen & insert Homer back into the lineup and this team will be much better (on paper).

You're correct, and I, too, am impressed. By all accounts, Volquez has looked great. He's also hit 98 (as HT said).

:thumb: I think you're right, and I think I would have done the same. There is no doubt about it...Volquez took the PED's for his recovery & it has paid dividends thus far. Isn't that what Pettite did too? Worked well for him.

So it's agreed. I won't leave anymore, and you'll stay away. :sssh::thumb::D
