Word has it that Brandon Phillips has added Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive Fifty-Five" to his Ipod playlist.

It's not on anywhere. The only two games being shown are the two Fox Games of the Week.

I'm going to play a little Walt Jocketty here. What do you think of this move. The Reds face the Phillies next series. The scheduled matchup for Wednesday is Harang vs. Halladay. Not a good matchup for the Reds. Travis Wood pitched last night for Louisville. He pitched 8.0 shutout innings (5h, 1bb, 9k) to record his 5th victory of the season. Since 5/18, Wood has pitched 8 consecutive quality starts (4-2, 1.62 ERA, 55.2ip, 12r/10er, 11bb, 56k, .186 opponents batting average). Why not send a pitcher down, call up Wood to pitch against the lefty dominant Phillies on Wednesday, and push Harang back to the 1st game of the Cubs series on Thursday.

I think you should get an "A++" in GM 101. That matchup has massacre written all over it with Harang on the mound. If you get the ball up in the zone against the Phillies you will pay big time.

This is going to shock a lot of you guys but I am going to give Dusty a lot of credit for this victory if Masset and Cordero can do their jobs over the last 2 innings. His pulling Lecure early when he was clearly struggling was imo a much needed move. That was so unlike Dusty to a.) have someone up in the bullpen getting ready and b.) make the move before things got out of hand. Nice job "Toothpick", you earned an 8 scooper with the "Cowboy" at UDF.

I hope the Cowboy is right and that Masset is starting to show the Massett we saw at the end of last season. Masset hasn't allowed a hit in his past four appearances and has retired 14 batters in a row with no BBs in his last 7 appearances covering 7 2/3rds innings. How about Arthur Rhodes? Grampy just keeps dealing.

Don't you start going soft too. Dusty will always be just the same ole Captain Toothpick. Sure , he's going to accidently cross paths with a right move every now and then. Even Jack Billingham ran into one every once in a while.

Co Co trying to blow another game. :irked:

I am so much starting to feel about CoCo like I did David Weathers. The only difference between the 2 right now is about 6 mph on their fastballs. Nothing is ever easy with this guy.

Cordero has not allowed a baserunner in 12 of his 38 appearances.

I'm still happy, 2 days in a row now.

I just wonder if Dusty has given any thought to switching Arthur and CoCo's roles. I think it would certainly help him sleep better at night. There are probably more than a few managers that wouldn't hesitate to make that move. I would feel so much more confident myself in Arthur closing out games but I guess CoCo would pout because he is the "closer".
