June 23, 201016 yr Tomorrow's lineup probably won't. Even though there's an offday this week, the "Toothpick" will come up with something quirky, count on it! He will probably say he is happy winning 2 on the road trip and let a few guys take 2 days off. Well when you have some key players like Cabrera and Rolen that are older you need to give them more days off than younger players. I would bet 1 of them will be out tomorrow. Play Rolen everyday and then get back to me when hes hurt in 3 weeks and we don't have him for a month. I would bet we see Nix tomorrow as well.

I heard Buster Olney say yesterday that many think the M's will give Lee one more start before jettisoning him, and not to be surprised if the Twins are on the hottest pursuers of Lee. They need a front end starter and one that can beat the Yanks and Lee did that 2x last year.

June 23, 201016 yr If only the Reds could have taken one from the Mariners or even two games what a difference that would have made. Maybe all the bashing Dusty talk would have been toned down a bit. Reds buckled down and got two wins from the A's let's hope for a sweep and then a good weekend series. On the Smith note, the callup was confusing and out of the blue, but he has a excellent curve ball that has been working well so far in the majors.

That's the easiest question ever posed on BGP...Absolutely nothing, but the firing of Dusty will make him happy when it comes to the Reds, and even then I'm sure he'll be like the Tubby bashers and constantly bring him up, 2-3 years down the road. Heck, they could win 15-0 and he'd harp on Dusty taking the starter out after 8 innings.

It's not like he puts a lot of strain on his arm. What's 120 pitches occassionally with him? Bronson said he was done. Arroyo threw 105 pitches. June 23, 201016 yr I know that Walt Jocketty said not to read anything into Chapman relieving Volquez in Louisville, but it's hard for me to imagine that they're going to keep Chapman in L'ville all season. The bullpen needs help, and Chapman has the arm. Sooner or later, he's going to be in the bullpen in Cincinnati, particularly if he fares well in relief today.

The bullpen needs help, and Chapman has the arm. Sooner or later, he's going to be in the bullpen in Cincinnati, particularly if he fares well in relief today. I thought that all along that was the spot for him. Unless someone is traded there really isn't a spot in the rotation for him right now and it will be even worse when Homer and Volquez gets back.
