ColonelCrazy
Danny Ray needs to be on a flight to Louisville tomorrow. Good story last year, but enough is enough... It's long overdue. As soon as Bill Bray gets a few more innings, he's gone.

ColonelCrazy
The biggest part about this win may have been the offensive outburst at the end of the game.

HammerTime
Absolutely, if they're healthy. Burton gave up 2 unearned runs tonight.
Habib
Coco really is "full pack junior." Thank goodness we pulled it out, Daniel Ray had me sweating. Nice to see some bats finally come alive too.
ColonelCrazy
I like signing Matthews Jr. to the minor league deal. Apparently Gary Matthews Sr. & Dusty are best buds, but Jr. could play too. He'll be a quality backup option if somebody goes down. I wonder what that means for Dickerson, though?
ColonelCrazy
I think the Reds should pursue Cliff Lee in the offseason, not this season. Get him to replace Harang & be our Opening Day Starter. In '09, Lee makes $9 million. Phillips is going to make $11 million next year. It may be time to trade him in the offseason.

If he comes here and they somehow make the playoffs he might stick around b/c he thinks Votto, BP, and Bruce are good. If he hits the open market after never pitching here he won't give them much of a look IMO. I doubt they outbid the big boys for him.

You may be right, but what would you be willing to part with to have Lee for 1/2 a season? The big boys will be suiting Lee regardless of where he finishes the season this year. I think that if there's interest by the Reds in Lee, they need to pursue him now instead of waiting until the trading deadline approaches. I agree with SSC. Clyde
My guess is Lee will go for $15M to $18M next year. He's not going to be a Red IMO.
