In no way is a punch a restraining technique. He should be fired. He has other methods instead of punching someone in the face. They should both be arrested for that, but the punch in the face is horrible.

I have no issue at all with the officer punching that women. I hope both of those young ladies get the book thrown at them, but unfortunately that will probably not happen and the officer will probably get in my trouble.

Law enforcement? I think he should have peppered her first but I don't blame him for striking the one. He just needss more training but this just further exemplifies the obvious about the lack of respect officers get in certain socioeconomic areas.

Would anyone have blamed the officer if it was a man resisting arrest? Or course not. So why is it a huge deal when it was a woman? Judging by the video, this was no delicate flower.

The punch to the womans face was sickening. Back up should have been called, that could have gotten out of hand ver quickly after seeing the crowd. He didn't appear to be carrying a taser but he should have pepper sprayed her then took her to the ground. He might want to get in the weight room if he's having that much trouble restraining a female of that size. And why wasn't he yelling any orders instead of just wrestling with her?

I agree he handled it very poorly, but like MJAlltheWay24 said, let's not let the ones that acted the total fool off the hook, although as he said, they already are.

This crap needs to stop, it was obvious they did everything they could to get him to loose his cool since there were so many people with cell phones and at least one video camera. Why do we tolerate this garbage?

It's part of that "entitlement" issue that we discuss. Everybody thinks that they get to do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want, without consequences.

I find your statment totally off base. Place the blame were it belongs with the law breakers. No matter what this officer did there would be some to criticize his actions. I cannot believe you have such low regard for the law to place any blame on the officer in this situation.

He handled it poorly but it never should have gotten to that point. He should have had back up quicker and people shouldn't be acting like complete idiots.
