June 18, 201016 yr I think that's what Ga meant, it's not like this lady was going to jail, if it was in fact jaywalking and she hadn't done anything else then why the hell would she react that way.
June 18, 201016 yr She jaywalked and should have controlled her mouth. I don't think any policeman will slap handcuff's on a person for this.

June 18, 201016 yr :thumb: It's part of that "entitlement" issue that we discuss. Everybody thinks that they get to do whatever they want, whenever they want, however they want, without consequences. That's it in a nut shell, TB&G. It amazes me that people get by with this kind of behavior.
June 18, 201016 yr The officer let this situation get out of control. The first time the lady in black pulled away, he should have grabbed her, taken her down and cuffed her. Had he done that, the other events probably wouldn't have happened. The women should not get off in this case. They showed no respect for the law here. The lady in pink pushed the officer, how does she get away with that? He probably should have forgotten about the lady in black after the push and just taken the lady in pink down instead of punching her.
June 19, 201016 yr I don't have a police etiquette background or anything, but at what point is he allowed to pull his gun in that situation? Granted that might have made others pull theirs too, but I am just wondering. I don't know the department policy or the laws wherever this is, but I'm fairly certain he's probably not allowed to draw a firearm unless it is a deadly force situation.
June 19, 201016 yr The first thing and most important thing is the officers safety. I'm not going to comment on what he did or didn't do right or wrong, but I'd like to hear why punching can't be a technique for police to use? The criminals can punch, can't they? She shouldn't have resisted.
