From what I've heard around town Bellevue sends Buckler, Lyvers, Hegge, Doughtrey, and Wills.

Practice started last Wednesday at Dixie.

I would assume they will have practice Monday around 6:30

As for all of the college comments, I have heard from a source that Brian Kelly will not allow Collinsworth or Nichols play in this All-Star game. Makes sense since practice starts what.... next month for major college programs?

Representing Newport will be: Short, Slusher, Lewis, and Gross. Good luck to every one.

Heard from some kids playing on the west that Miles will not be playing.

First as far as getting hurtone can get hurt just getting out of bed.

2nd congrats to all of the young men who were asked to play in this game and a bigger congrats to those who are actually plainin it.

3rd If nothing is going on in my area and work does not stop me I hope to attend this game but if I can't I can listen to it.

Sure, you can get hurt getting out of bed... I don't think that you have a $50,000 a year college scholarship commitment that these young men have either, so it is easy for you to make that statement. It is an honor to be asked to play but just not worth it to actually play in the game if you have signed a scholarship commitment.

Do you really think the risks are the same ?(playing football and getting out of bed ) Now if your drunk out of your mind and sleeping on the top rack of a bunk bed , you might have a risk of getting hurt, but you wouldn't remember it anyway.

After reading most of the posts and many others in this thread and other, I must ask, who is this game for? the kids or the armchair qbs who perhaps cant get over their hs careers. Lets quit arguing over why this kid is playing and this kid isnt. It really doesnt matter imo whether they play or not. Its their choice to play and its their choice not to play. Its not yours or mine so lets just get over it. Lets everyone quit saying that is "ashame" or "too bad" because you know what, it is none of those. This game is for the kids, not the wannabes and lets support the kids who chose to play and lets just hope that all have fun and the game is injury free. And of course lets hope the Highlands team wins. LOL.
