West is not playing.

 

This is unfortunate. Who is the West QB going to be now?

A college commitment does not exclude a player from All-Star game competition. Many of them actually take the last opportunity to play HS football. I could see everyone but AC, Simpson, and Nichols playing in this one. IMO, the West could have an advantage with West... Sorry for the pun but I don't think the Highlands laden defense will be good enough to stop Nick "West" offense.

 

Highlands defense would do just fine against West...they see good QB's everyday in practice!!!

I was just theorizing that HHS studs on Def would not be able to stop a collage of all-stars blocking and catching for West...and yes, this was my opinion. But since he is not playing I completely recant my statement since i have no clue who would be the top candidate to replace him.

Well, I just wish kids would play in these types of games because as you stated their will be a collage of all-stars and it is always a nice barometer to measure your ability to. Speaking of collage of All Stars, that is what college football is if you have ever experience it. Its one thing to play against high school kids each and every week made up of anyone from 15 yr old Soph to 18 yr old Srs. College is an eye opening experience of a collage of All Stars regardless of the Div. Everyone is an all star and the beginning age is usually 18 and the ending age is men around 21 yrs old or so. Good luck to this young man as I am sure he will do just fine in college. :thumb:

I am very excited to see who will be on the rosters for these two squads. It should be a exciting game with some good talent!

Erpenbeck, Robinson, Connaughton, Frisch, and Garnick from CovCath will be playing.

 

Thats a great group the Colonels are sending. I'd be surprised if all four aren't starting and are major contributers.

What? If a college is going to take a chance on this kid, they already know his abilities. I'm sure they don't look very deep into games like this to be honest. I remember playing in this game a couple of years ago and it was about as close to a full contact pick up game as you could get. Come to think of it, It was one of my most memorable games because of the loosness about it. BTW, it was probably the only all-star game to ever be ended before it was actually over. What a game (LOL).

I do know Roller and Collinsworth are not playing but there are 5 Highlands players. There are a few more NCC, CC, and Newport players too. My coaches (Dayton) are coaching the East squad. I heard West and Simpson are playing for the West!

Glad to here Simpson is playing I wish Roller, and Collionsworth would play.

Again I heard Miles is playing, but I don't know if it is official or not. I know for sure Roller and Collinsworth are not playing though I can verify that.

How many so-called "All-Star" games can there really be in KY???

I spoke to Miles' mother last night. All signs are to him playing in this game. That's awesome!
