I was told that Dierig, Schlosser, and the other two starting Dlineman were playing. #69 and #56? Combs and Bardo are not playing, but I don't know about Buten.

Don't count your chickens. Both teams have very good players. I would expect both offenses to be very basic and easy to defend. It is hard to get team chemistry with a week of practices.

It is a really nice honor to be asked to play in this game but I am surprised to hear that Simpson and Hansel are playing. I am like everyone else and would like to see these guys play one more time at the high school level but there is way too much at stake for them. I am probably going to be unpopular on this post for saying this, but any scholarship kid is risking a huge set back in fall camp by subjecting themselves to the possibility of injury. I have been to quite a few track meets this spring, Simpson hasen't been running lately due to a hamstring issue. I know that scholarship kids have been playing in these games for years but I have never been a big fan of them playing. I doubt that their college coaches have any say but I don't think that they would be super excited. I hope all of the kids have fun, have a great game and come out healthy.

Boo:rolleyes: A kid can get hurt doing anything. I am pretty sure that is in the definition of "kid". This is the last chance to play in a meaningless game for all of them....and just have fun. From here on out it's over or in college, it's all/mostly business.

I know, I know...don't mean to ruffle any feathers. I, as much as anybody, want to see these guys play one more time at this level for fun. You are absolutely correct, they can get hurt doing anything; I am just saying that there is quite a bit at stake once they have accepted a scholarship and would be a shame for them to be behind when they show up for camp.

I'm glad to hear that Cody Short (Newport) is playing. Short os a good kid that if not for a injury would have had a awesome year.
