May 5, 201016 yr Griffey Jr. Bagwell Hafner Caminiti Green Those are 5 off the top of my head....:idunno: Caminiti took steroids... Griffey didn't have that sharp of a decline... Hafner was a one or two year wonder... Did Bagwell have that big of a dropoff?
May 5, 201016 yr Bagwell's last four years where he played the whole season were solid, so I'm not sure what your talking about there.... Griffey was hurt the entire time... Hafner did have four good years, I didn't think he had that many. So I'll give you that one... Bagwell, Griffey, and Caminiti don't fit IMO...
May 5, 201016 yr Griffey Jr. Bagwell Hafner Caminiti Green Those are 5 off the top of my head....:idunno: And, as he said, injuries can play a big role in such a decline. Hafner is an example of that. Griffey's decline may have had something to do with it, too.
May 5, 201016 yr Please start a new thread concerning Ortiz, Stubbs, Delgado, and any other player(s) you are trying to compare.
May 6, 201016 yr Ortiz is over-the-hill....You're right Stubbs is practically a rookie, a rookie who obviously isn't ready for big league pitching. He is not going to get anymore ready for big league pitching by going back to the minors. Besides that its not like we have anyone sitting on the bench or in the minors, who will be so much better than having him out there. They do need to consider not leading him off anymore. Let him get use to big league pitching by batting 7th or 8th. Maybe even do what other teams do, and have the pitcher bat 8th, and him 9th. So this way if he does get on, we have speed with the top of the order coming up.
May 6, 201016 yr Baker noticed that Brandon Phillips didn’t run out of the box in his home run in the sixth. “I guess I’m going to have to talk to him again. . . I’ve done more than talk to him.” Way to show him Dusty.
May 7, 201016 yr Cabrera 6 Phillips 4 Votto 3 Rolen 5 Bruce 9 Gomes 7 Stubbs 8 Hernandez 2 Bailey 1 (0-1, 6.04 ERA)
May 7, 201016 yr I'm hoping the rain holds off tonight, going to my first game of the year, since I've been out of town.
