Kentucky 62 Cornell 45

Typical UK game. No one should be surprised because that is the way they have played all year. Awesome defense. Strong on the boards. Bad half court offense. Excellent transition offense. Poor free throw shooting.

I thought Cal coached one of his best games of the year. The game plan was perfect, especially defensively in fighting over the top of the picks and giving Cornell no free looks from 3. Cal's substitution pattern was very good in reacting to how the game was playing out.

The WVU game will be an absolute defensive war.

I agree that Cal did a great job. Ramon Harris did one heck of a job on the defensive end shutting down their 3 point shooter. Cal does seem to have a very good feel for which of his players is best suited and prepared for the role he needs from them. The defense, especially in the first half, was something to watch.

Dreadful game to watch other than the fact that they won.

Hats off to big Cuz who kept his cool during an obvious flagrant foul in an attempt to provoke him. Man has he grown up this season or what.

Agreed:thumb: Not sure how that call was missed?? Wonder where all the posters are that called for benching Big Cuz earlier this season to send him a message? Officiating was poor in both late games last night.

First half was a lot of fun. They came out after halftime and forgot there was still 20 mins to play.

Offensively, we reverted back to our old ways in the 2nd half. But the D remained strong (not as tough as the 1st half, but it was enough). Thought the trio of Miller, Liggins, & Harris did an exceptional job on Wittman.

4th lowest point total for a UK opponent in the NCAA tourney ever

Miller is playing with a ton of confidence right now. When he gets into the lane, good things happen.

The old Demarcus Cousins would have got up after that body slam, and planted little foote in the hardwood. That was so bush league, and the refs even reviewed it. But we got a W.

He has labeled himself as the guy who could lose it at any moment. Teams have taken note and he has controlled himself very well since. I love me some Boogie.

He is a controlled Boogie now.

I was yelling at the refs for everyone, but I don't think they heard from the upper level.
