Point guard? 6'0 right? What about Justice?

 

I would think he's more of a shooting guard. Watts can play the point but I think he'd help the team a lot more as a shooting guard. I'd love to see him make the team.

Heard from a good source that Josh Sewell would probably be on the roster anyways

 

If Sewell is on the roster, he should be cleared to play by game time assuming all goes well with recovery.

Someone posted in my comments section that Scott County's prom was Saturday night and that is why they missed the tryouts.

I noticed KY has only won 4 of the last 26 games dating back to 1997.

 

Nice to see Coach Listerman of CovCath leading the boys as Head Coach. Im sure it will be a pleasure for him to have local 9th Region studs Ricardo Johnson and Elijah Pittman on his bench.

Did they "make" the team or are these considered pre-selected prior to try-outs? The good news is they don't have to go against Foster again, whew!

I spend a fair amount of time in Indiana talking to people about sports and listening to sports talk in Indy. This game is a much bigger deal to them than it is to KY fans and players. I'm not sure why that is.

 

I think many KY players look at this as just another game. Heck, their high school season is filled with just another game. AAU, in many players' mind, is where its at and where you get a look. There is no passion for this all-star game as evidenced by Scott County's players not showing up.

Why it's bigger to Indy? Well they get a chance to beat KENTUCKY in something, and that is it. The Ky kids don't really care about going to Indy to play, and don't really look to much into winning or losing, but the kids from Indy I would guess have something to prove if they can beat the Ky team.

Nope. Quite the opposite. They enjoy it so much, that they select their very best and continue the series despite a dwindling attendance.

If we're the high school basketball state like we cling to (along with our guns and religion) why do we not expect to win or put our best team forth?

If Rico and Elijah dont make this team then there is something wrong !!! Arguably two of the top 5 players in the state.
