Wireman Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/18/oklahoma-basketball-star-keith-gallon-ncaa-scandal/ Wow...this is going to be bad...
jvdfc Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Doesn't sound good. Hopefully it can be worked out.
Wireman Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 It'll work out just fine for him. He'll go pro and make thousands of dollars. It won't work out well for Oklahoma, though.
halfback20 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 This may or may not be true. I don't know why but I have a hard time trusting TMZ.
charlesw88 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 It'll work out just fine for him. He'll go pro and make thousands of dollars. It won't work out well for Oklahoma, though. Exactly. Bad situation for Oklahoma. Not so much for the kid.
threetimelover Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Why did TMZ get the story? That is bizarre...
Voice of Reason Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 It's gotta be Capel's fault. :thumb: I am sure it will follow Capel his entire career. And God forbid another great athlete he recruits breaks a rule because then he will be labeled sleazy and dirty. At least that's what Coach Knight will say.
CincySportsFan Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I don't know if I believe this or not. The thing that I find suspicious is the fact that it was a traceable wire transfer. I realize not all "crooks" are brilliant...but, you'd think that if this guy was trying to do something under the table, he wouldn't want to leave a paper trail.
gametime Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Why did TMZ get the story? That is bizarre... TMZ is now running a sports site...
Wireman Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 It was technically not an "agent", but rather a "financial advisor"...
UKMustangFan Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Didn't TMZ break the Tiger Woods story and they were the first ones to report the Michael Jackson death as well...They're pretty legit IMO.
CatsCatsCats Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Sad thing is "Tiny" won't even be able to play for a while in the pros. He doesn't have the game.
HT721 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 It's gotta be Capel's fault. Partially, as a coach you are responsible for your players.
