You have to watch them like hawks. I know it's not always possible, but your reputation is what's going to suffer and your chances at winning are what's at stake. You have to guard who comes around your players like your life depends on it, because basically it does. Do your absolute best to keep every shady character away and hope to God they don't do something while you are asleep.

I think the NCAA and pro sports need to work together to deal with these types of things together. If an agent is involved in giving money to a student athlete against NCAA regulations then he should not be allowed to be an agent and negotiate deals with a pro franchise.

I'm talking about with NCAA violations not criminal. But I wouldn't be against the NCAA sanctioning programs like Tennessee who constantly have players in jail.

I would love to see the NBA and the NCAA work out an agreement on this. The NCAA would have to flex whatever muscle they have to have a prayer at it.

If the above compromise could be worked out with the NBA, it would free up the NCAA enough to concentrate on what you have mentioned. I agree that this is the type of situation, along with recruiting violations that the school can control, that the NCAA should sanction schools for.
