So is listening to false statements.

Rule # 6 doesn't not allow false statements to be put on the board. Believe me I would not have posted this if it was not true. Being a mod, I know the rules.

High school kids will be high school kids, and yes unfortunately language often comes with that. But spitting on other people? That's a disgrace!

And exactly what statement are they trying to make. You are arguing about class, this, that, and the other. Personally, to me, that shows ZERO class.

And spitting on others isn't. :ohbrother:

That doesn't bother me as much as SPITTING on other individuals. Yeah, I think it's wrong if they left it intentionally. This time needs to start playing with an attitude though, that refuse to lose mentality. Not accepting anything less than first... I can live with that if it serves a purpose.

I agree.

I still don't believe the spitting issue.

Believe it. It happened.

Goldie wouldn't lie about it. Heck they were sure close enough to the bench to do so. At halftime, they stole the clipboard and were writing nasty things on it before it being taken from them, I know that for fact. They should never have been behind Clark's bench.[/QUOTE]

What I was saying before the game was ever played. Very poor management by the Mason staff.

Yes! Thank you. GRC had the chance to switch, I repeat GRC had the chance to switch. :ohbrother:

So that makes it is OK for your fans to spit on our kids and throw things on our coaches??????

If it happened I'm sure that someone should have told our AD or something with the school. I mean get a manager or someone and I am postive the school AD or police would have taken them out. Once again GRC had the chance to switch and avoid being behind the Mason Co section. Bottom line is the game is over, Mason Co won. It should be a great 2011 10th Region. :thumb:

People, remember these are immature high school kids on both sides. Most act before they think especially at a basketball game. We were all young once if we can remember. I probably sure it was not an adult if this is true. Most times you talk about class you see how the adults act and gauge from there. If someone did spit, they should be suspended.

I agree the call shouldn't have mattered. GRC shouldn't have let it been that close and it ended up costing them the game.

Whether the trophy was left intentionally or not, maybe they are making a statement.

You all can leave that 2nd place trophy next year also if u want...

And what about the Mason Co student section spitting on our players and throwing things on our coaches?

I know this, if a fan spits on me while sitting on the bench while coaching or one of my players, I am going to notify the proper authorities to have this individual escorted from the premises. So tell me Goldie, from vantage point in your seat across the gym,did you actually see some saliva fly from the mouth of one of our fans. If so, you have great vision. If not, you are relying on second information, which is wrong.

This is 1st i have herd of it,I know Mr. Appleman runs a tight ship on those guys though..If it happend shame on them..

I am not wrong and my information is not wrong. It happend.

A few observations from last night..

GRC better learn how to hold onto a lead and close a game out before next year.

SHOT SELECTION.

When every player on your team is a head taller than who they are being guarded by, punch it inside.

I have never, and still don't, like Bart Lennox. He blew the goaltending call. 2 points was huge in that game. Other than that, I believe the game was called about as well and even as you could ask for.

Gilbert and Lang were the heroes. Gilbert made tough shots all night long and we apparently didn't want to guard Lang any.

That being said, the game shouldn't have been that close for it to matter. Every time you thought GRC was about to pull away Mason made a little run to bring it back within striking distance. When you let a well coached team hang around till the end, well you see what happened.

On a neutral court, I think GRC wins 8 out of 10. Great atmosphere last night btw. I would rank it definitely above Montgomery Co. but NKU's facilities are way better and I put the two about even.

Last night was one of those two times Mason wins though. In a one and done scenario at the Fieldhouse, Mason has a shot at beating anybody. They made the plays needed to win and they got it done. Congrats to them!

To GRC, get back to work. Keep improving and give it your best next year. Develop a couple guards along with a few more guys for the bench and we'll be tough again. It will be nice to have Bopper Stenzel back healthy for next year. Hopefully we can all stay healthy and try and make it a special season. :thumb:

Mason Co, good luck at state. Represent the 10th well, I'll be there not necessarily wearing blue  but cheering you on.

Obviously you don't like Bart. Where I was sitting I had a great look at the goaltending call and he got it right. No one has mentioned that call except for you. I have worked with many very good referee's in a bunch of state tournaments over the years and I would go on the floor with Bart any night of the week!

Where was he during the game?

Where was he during the game?

Standing to the left of student section in front the stage maybe 20 feet away..

Okay Daddy's turn again. I was sitting right next to the MC cheering section 2 rows behind Danny Weddle, who was sitting right next to Clark Co.'s Coach. MC's principal was over in the cheering section numerous times. I didn't see any water being thrown any where. Period. Goldie, if I'm correct I saw you sitting mid court across from me. So I would have had a front row seat to any of this, much better than your view. In addition my son was in that mix and you can trust in the fact that if I had seen it, I would have pulled him out and kicked a part of his anatomy that I can't type on this site without being banned, plus any of his friends surrounding him. Oh and by the way 2 of the principal's kids were on the front row and you can bet he won't tolerate that behavior.

Secondly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I know I'm not, Bart Lennox is the same ref that made a very controversial call (over and back) in a regional final between these 2 schools a few years back. Seems to me like the GRC fans thought that call was wonderful and the Mason fans thought it was bad. Now the situation is reversed. You take the good with the bad. That is basketball folks.

Thirdly, the previous poster who quoted the conversation between Lennox and Rogers on very good authority is telling the absolute truth. :thumb:

Is he the guy in the blue blazer?

You can have him
