Bottom line: 2 great teams, 2 great fan bases and one heck of a game. It is a shame someone has to lose but that is part of the game.

 

It would be a shame if Clark County was moved out of the region. This is becoming one of the really good rivalries, and would lose much of its luster with realignment.

 

Five and a half pages of posts would seem to validate the bold as well as the rivalry aspect.

A. Yes, Clark made plenty of bad decisions that cost them the game. No doubt about it.

 

2. No jab intended toward Clark County at all by saying a superior (according to many) team shouldn't be in a position to have one call decide a game. It's a time-tested axiom. Every game has its share of debatable calls (and according to what I read here, the basket interference call is one of those); it's just my opinion that they're fundamentally different than a blatant missed call at game'e end.

 

D. Yes jab intended toward Clark County for leaving their trophy for the janitor. As I've often heard, win with class and lose with class. In all fairness, however, that's easy for me to say sitting in the stands and not having just lost a heartbreaker.

Yes... but to stay on top in anything, you need both confidence and humility. I believe our team and coaches have both but perhaps some of our fans need a little more of the latter.

 

Yes they do. Members of Mason Co's student section was spitting on the GRC players. Also a member of Mason Co's student section threw a soft drink/water all over our coaches.

I find that hard to believe Gold Sunrise. If that was the case, they should have been escorted out of the gym. Also, acting with class, your students were no angels. As they were exiting the gym, alot of words that my 7 year old son really did not need to hear, along with the flipping of the bird. My son said, " Dad they are not number one, Mason County is right." :ohbrother:

Corey is the type of kid though to not argue back even if he didn't agree with the call.

High school kids will be high school kids, and yes unfortunately language often comes with that. But spitting on other people? That's a disgrace!

I agree the call shouldn't have mattered. GRC shouldn't have let it been that close and it ended up costing them the game.

And exactly what statement are they trying to make. You are arguing about class, this,that, and the other. Personally, to me, that shows ZERO class.

That doesn't bother me as much as SPITTING on other individuals. Yeah, I think it's wrong if they left it intentionally. This time needs to start playing with an attitude though, that refuse to lose mentality. Not accepting anything less than first... I can live with that if it serves a purpose.

Goldie wouldn't lie about it. Heck they were sure close enough to the bench to do so. At halftime, they stole the clipboard and were writing nasty things on it before it being taken from them, I know that for fact. They should never have been behind Clark's bench.

So if Goldie says it is so, then it is gospel....correct. Also, find this out for me if you can, what was wrote on the clip board. For all I know, it could have said, pizza ia half-price after the third quarter.
