I've been around a long time and have seen a lot of basketall but would never make a comment about the outcome of a game because it's to uncertain .No one never knows. People say a lot of things they shouldn't, but again that's people.

 

I might predict an outcome, but I sure wouldn't plan my schedule until the contest had been decided.

 

Case in point; Mason County's run in 2003-2004. I'm standing in line to get tickets for the Mason County/Ballard final game and a fellow Royals fan said something along the lines of, "Won't it be great to win 2 titles in a row (Mason County had a junior-laden team, much like Clark County has this season)?" I commented that I would settle for one in a row; there are no guarantees in life.:thumb:

You can't do this. Do you really want those two cheering sections next to each other. If you move the cheerleaders without the cheering sections, the first five rows of fans can see nothing.

 

I was suggesting moving the cheering/student sections with the cheerleaders to opposite ends of the gym - leaving the sides open to others. I wasn't at the Mason/GRC game - but I was at other games during the week where the fans of one team was behind the bench of the other team.

 

By moving the cheering/student sections to each end - there are plenty of seats for other spectators.

I was suggesting moving the cheering/student sections with the cheerleaders to opposite ends of the gym - leaving the sides open to others. I wasn't at the Mason/GRC game - but I was at other games during the week where the fans of one team was behind the bench of the other team.

Move them to the end of the floor in front of the stage to where they used to sit them. Problem solved.

This defeat may be and probably is the best thing to ever happen to the 2010-2011 GRC Cardinals. This group will be seniors and there will be no tommorrow in High school for them. Good post. That's exactly how I would approach it.

I would expect this also, but to me GRC has a lot to improve on if they want to win the whole thing. You have to have a point guard and you need some contribution off the bench. Without these two things it is next to impossible to win it all no matter how big of a starting five you have. GRC could overwelm teams with their size this year and will be able to do it next year but I don't see them winning big in the post season until them two problems are somewhat solved.

I certainly agree, I remember this being brought out in 07, thats why I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this come out of a GRC fan outside the gym about an hour before gametime.

It is absolutely astonishing to me that GRC fans are complaining about any student section period. A few games that I have attended against them and Montgomery County they have shown... let's just say sub par sportsmanship. Granted I don't think it was the brightest thing in the world to put Mason's student section behind GRC's bench, and there definitely should be no toleration to water throwing etc... it's just funny to me that they are complaining about this.

If you have the Maysville newspaper from this morning you will notice on the front page the article, "Rivalry a little too bitter?" Under the picture of the trophy it states that ZOLLO left his jersey. NOT TRUE. A jersey was left, but not not by Zollo. If you go to the link posted about , under the picture it now states that a player left a jersey. It also show a picture of the jersey. #44. This is Cory Rogers jersey. Was it left by mistake, YES. Cory went to another room to ice down his ankle. When he was finished he took off his jersey and laid it down. The managers always pick up the players Jerseys. Cory knew they would get his. The managers had already picked up all the jerseys and did not see that Cory had laid his down.

What was the intent of the paper of printing this on the front page? Why wasn't the picture of the jersey printed this morning showing it was #44? Did they know that #44 was not Zollo's jersey and was indeed Rogers? They have the score book to confirm the #'s. Did they take what Jackie McCloud said out of contex?

Zollo's name was given as leaving his jersey, it wasn't him, this is blatantly printing false information when they had the jersey right in front of them. Huge difference and you know it. Why wasn't a picture of the jersey printed this morning?
