Well Clark Co has been in the 10th as long or longer than Mason. I'm sure you all would like to get rid of them and have a cake walk to the state every year. I know Clark was in this region in the middle sixties until now so why move them?

 

Simple geography. Most of the realignment scenarios have Clark and Montgomery, who are at the extreme southwest end of the region, moving out; with the rest of the Campbell County schools moving in.

 

As far as WHO the teams are in the 10th (as opposed to WHERE), makes no difference at all to me. I don't presume to speak for the Mason County program, but it's my humble opinion that they will play whoever's there.:thumb:

I think the whole thing with people complaining about the concessions goes back to last year. Several Mason fans were complaining about the tournament at BOK and that was one point they used, among many, not wanting it up there. Now all of you guys are saying eat before and after the game, which I do, so it doesn't matter to me but when it is at you're place it doesn't matter about the food because there is none. On a side note how about the majority of PC fans moving to the other side last night so Mason fans could sit on their normal side. I think there were more PC fans there than anyone else.

First bolded - I generally do. I don't go to ball games anticipating restaurant-quality food. That's what I go to restaurants for. I generally get a drink and a popcorn at the game. JUST like I would do at the movies, at the Reds game, at the race track, etc.

 

To be fair (which I always am), some are saying that if they travel, eating before or after the games is not a viable option. Some others are saying that there might be more money to spread around if there were more concession options.

Yes PC had the biggest crowd there no doubt,And yes they were all class it was great to sit and talk with some of them..Should be a big crowd tonight also..

Wow, didn't realize that. Guess I need to start doing that before movies, Reds games, any place that I go out too.

 

You are comparing high school basketball to the concessions at a major league ballgame? Give me a break. Montgomery County's concessions were no better two years ago. This is a high school, not a major chain movie theatre or an NBA franchise with marketing sponsors. This thread is more about disgruntled fans that still feel their teams are not winning Regional titles only because the tournament is at Mason County.

You could always go watch the 9th Regional Tournament and stop the complaining. One less disgruntled fan in the Fieldhouse wouldn't hurt.

Clark will be replacing Scott County, who will be in the 10th, along with Highlands replacing Montgomery County

 

If this happens you move the 10th region tournament to the BOK, neutral site and close enough for everyone.

Can you imagine Augusta's concession stand choices at the Fieldhouse? Wow!! Small school, BIG concession stand!!

 

I can bet that Robin Kelsch and crew would be up to the challenge. IMO best concession stand in the Region. :ylsuper:

I do not post a lot and really am a nuetral observer when it comes to the fieldhouse and the NKU arena. Having watched mulitple games at both locations the past few years there is no comparison. The NKU arena is much nicer, more comfortable and the concessions are not even close. Yes, they are a little pricy but I am not forced to purchase anything. As for the individuals that have said you should eat before the game, well I have in both locations and found the Northern Kentucky has a lot more to offer than in Maysville. I see a lot of Maysville people claiming your arena is by far the best atmosphere, and after sitting thru two regional tourneys in the last two years I have to respectfully disagree. Its not even close. I would also think the kids would enjoy playing in NKU's arena and then hopefully RUPP. Wouldn't that be a cool thing to experience as a High School player?

Sure hope the Mason Co adm that is running the tourney does something about seating the teams. Scotts cheering sections was put right behind the GRC bench tonight. I sure hope they don't put their own cheering section( Mason Co) behind GRC bench for the finals, but I wouldn't put it past them.

Coaches have other things to attend to, like trying to win the game. This should be handled by the host school. No brainer here.

On Friday the seating was correct - Pendleton fans behind thier own bench. I'm surprised they changed it back.

Either way I hope GRC gets the bench away from the Cheering Section I want to see a great game!
