Not the only place, just the best place.:D

In all seriousness, my primary argument for Mason County hosting the tourney is simply a matter of geography. Hosting it at one of the far ends of the region doesn't make as much sense for several reasons; not the least of which are time and money.

Build 4200-seater in Mt. Olivet or Brooksville and that would be a natural as well.

Maybe when Clark County and Montgomery County move over to the 11th, Mason County won't be smack-dab in the middle of the 10th.

Maybe if they move Clark and Montgomery out, they will move Mason to the 16th.:lol:

Not me, because there were other choices.

And we ate at LaRosa's after the games last year. $6.99 for a huge spaghetti dinner, salad and bread. I can go without food and drink for a couple of hours if the prices are outrageous. Although maybe that puts me in the minority.

Have you been out to eat in Maysville recently? You can't even get into a restaurant or get waited on quickly once you get in on normal days or weekends, add the first of the month and a regional tournament and people may wonder why it would be nice to have the choice of a hamburger,pork tenderloin, chicken tenders,etc. at a game, not chili or spaghetti, finger foods.

I hadn't heard that one.:D Herre I am trying to get Fleming County back to the 10th where they belong.

You do get to an interesting point that I've made before. Mason County isn't affiliated with any particular part of the Commonwealth. Not NKY, not EKY, not the Bluegrass. Probably, more than anything else, it's associated with - you guessed it - the 10th Region.

:rolleyes::lol:

If your that hungry there is an Arby's across the street. :D

Can I watch the game from there?:ohbrother:

All the time. I think Maysville must have more places to eat per capita than any place I can think of. Six (Pasquale's, Greg's. Dominos, Pizza Hut, Snappy Tomato, Little Caesars) pizza places alone.

I think the whole thing with people complaining about the concessions goes back to last year. Several Mason fans were complaining about the tournament at BOK and that was one point they used, among many, not wanting it up there. Now all of you guys are saying eat before and after the game, which I do, so it doesn't matter to me but when it is at you're place it doesn't matter about the food because there is none. On a side note how about the majority of PC fans moving to the other side last night so Mason fans could sit on their normal side. I think there were more PC fans there than anyone else.

Thanks, more posts than I would have ever thought on this topic. It is rather silly and juvenile when you come down to it, but there is money to be made for schools or something and grippo's and blowpops at a REGIONAL tournament is just embarassing,whether you eat or not.:deadhorse: Have said enough,time to move on.:dancingpa

Well Clark Co has been in the 10th as long or longer than Mason. I'm sure you all would like to get rid of them and have a cake walk to the state every year. I know Clark was in this region in the middle sixties until now so why move them?

Tell me where I'm wrong here. One goes to a restaurant to eat and one goes to a ball game to watch a ball game. All i need is a good bottle of water to help my throat after yelling so much at the referees!

Clark will be replacing Scott County, who will be in the 10th, along with Highlands replacing Montgomery County
