Of course not.....why would there be? The announcement was made in December and they still don't have a coach.....should speak volumes about the district and the importance of basketball.

 

Shelby's coach takes his team to the state tourney less than a month ago and they announced there coach less than 3 weeks after Clark steps down.....I assume basketball is important in that district.

Patience. It is more important for the AD to pick the right person. Looking around the state, there are several jobs still open

RD, this will never happen...to many people from both sides that don't want this. Regardless, if the two teams would have been combined over the last 15 years, it might have improved their chances of getting to the regional finals once or twice. Grant has been to the regional finals 1 time in the last 30 years. Can't comment about W-Town and their appearances.

 

As for Billy G, he wouldn't survive there either.......dry county :lol:

Maybe part of the problems at Grant County are what we are seeing in the hiring process, administration should have already made this decision to give the new coach a chance to be at open gyms, to finalize his schedule and to set up the summer. Walton and Simon will both be good next year, they can not be wasting time if they want to maximize their season.

I would think that if Utter really wants to show he deserves the job all of this is already being done.

I'm not close enough to the situation to know - maybe he's already been removed from consideration.
