I would allow to cut block

If you mean a chop block , no way , for obvious reasons.

As a linemen i would allow the chop block. A good defensive linemen wont get cut and it would prepare our players better for the college game.

Defensive linemen can get cut but chop block isnt allowed at any level!

Not CHOP block, but simply a cut block. It is allowed in certain states and at the college level. There is a rule that allows to "cut" block in the tackle box, but I would say its open for the whole field.

To me a CHOP is more pron to injury someone than a regular cut block. Allow back to cut out of the backfield and down the field.

I would like to change that 0-10 teams can not make the playoffs.

For the state of KY. I would kill the Spring Football rule. Absolutely a silly rule that was put in place by former UK coach Hal Mumme. He wanted the kids in KY to practice and work out in the spring to allow him an opportunity to scout and recruit future UK players during his offseason. yeah, that really works. Get rid of it and this allows kids to participate in the spring sports that count for their respective schools.

Missed FGs outside the 20 get placed at the line of scrimmage from the missed attempt, not the 20 on change of possession.

That's mine :thumb:

We need spring football practice-it just needs to be in late May or early June.

I too, would change the Spring Football rule, but not the same way you want. I would change it to three weeks of practice ending with multiple teams playing a scrimmage against each other at one location and incorporate an official clinic with it at the same locations as the scrimmage. This way spring football would be more productive, encourage more schools and players to participate, improve Kentucky football, and get quality experience for officials and allow them to put rule changes to use and practice before the season begins.

Do away with it? That would not help Kentucky football at all. Why do you think the "Football" states have spring football? In Florida Spring football is a big event. Why not in Kentucky?

This would be mine as well.

me too

There are so few FG's attempted from this distance in high school that this rule would discourage even those few. The reason the NCAA and NFL modified their rules is to discourage FG attempts and encourage teams to go for more TD's. Most high school kickers are not going to make FG's attempted from outside the 20, which would be >35 yard attempts.

Spring practice is essential to the quality of High School football in the state of Kentucky. It is just and advantage that we have when playing against other states. Also as you had mentioned, it offers an opportunity for players to get scouted. It is just another chance for players to get looks for colleges. At Highlands I participated in spring football and ran track. I believe the baseball players were the only ones that did not fully participate if I remember correctly.

I'm sure the % of longer FG attempts is not real high, but if you have a kid that can kick it 35 or more yds in the air, it is an advantage to just get the ball in the end zone. the strategy is not really to make the FG , but to ensure the change of possesion is at the 20. I have seen this occur, it does happen. Are you opposed to this rule change? If so, why?
