February 21, 201016 yr This thread really has brought back some good childhood memories. Anyone here ever play marbles? In St. Louis we would have a neighborhood championship. I was the queen of jacks. I had a set of marbles, but never really got good at them. What about the clamp on rollerskates? I always hated hitting a rock in them because I'd invariably lose my skate, but not the toe part. I'd be trying to stop with one skate flopping all over the ground. :lol:

I had a large glass jar full of really cool marbles, but I was never any good at it.:cry: So many things I did as a kid, that today (and that includes me) I wouldn't dare allow a child to do. Really a shame that today's kids will never know the fun and enjoyment and the freedom that we of my age enjoyed in being just kids. I agree. I've often thought the same regarding my children.

February 21, 201016 yr Ohhhh Lawn Darts! Fun and dangerous! Jarts to be exact. We used to throw them straight up in the air and run as fast as we could. Now that was fun.
