You always knew when you had reached the limit of your coiled phone cord when the phone came flying at you, hit the floor with a crash, and rang its phone bell. And everyone in the house would yell, "I'll get it!"

The receiver to phone cord wasn't detachable. If you wanted a longer cord, you'd have had to have the phone company come out and install a new phone.

We still have a ton of those Milton-Bradley games from the 70's in our basement. Remember any of these?: Don't Spill the Beans Don't Break the Ice Gnip-Gnop Avalanche Huskerdoo Ants in the Pants Barrel of Monkeys Connect Four Foto-Electric Football Lite-Brite Pay Day Life Kerplunk Bas-Ket basketball game I'm pretty sure, every one of these is in our basement...in various states of viability. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these original games, if in good condition, might be worth something.

February 19, 201016 yr You know you're of a certain age if..... you remember when the TV just went off at a certain point at night. National anthem followed by a blank screen. Think a 22 yr old can even comprehend that? I'm 25 and I remember that. All the channels went to white around 2 or 3 am I believe. They might as well do that now. Pretty much every channel shows some type of infomercial after 3am.

Or hours and hours of playing Electronic Football? Could you imagine kids today playing the electronic football? They'd look at us like we were crazy, then toss it in the garbage. Here's what they'd say: "This game sucks. The guy runs in circles. You have to line up each of your players. The ball keeps falling out. I'm out of here."

I'm not gonna lie, I would probably play with them now if I had them. I successfully finished my first complete game of Monopoly about two weeks ago :lol: Any gamblers think it would be fun to play Monopoly with real money ?

I downloaded all the old school Mario games to my Wii. My younger brother couldn't comprehend why I was so excited about playing it. His first comment on the game: "So all you can do is run and jump with Mario ? That's it ?":lol:
