When your Atari or later on your Nintendo cartridge wasn't working and you simply blew (hard) into it and like magic it started working. To top it off we somehow figured out how to do this without the internet or message boards.

Or even better, when the NES games weren't working right, you could stick a second game in there to hold the other game down in place, and then it would play.

You remember when you went to pick up your school clothes out of layaway.

Think a 22 yr old can even comprehend that?

I remember ONTV. And I remember trying to watch it through that stupid line down the middle and the sides reversed -- for the educational programming, I mean. :thumb:

I had ON TV. Though I really liked ON PLUS. But it gave me a headache trying to watch all the distorted movies. :sssh:

I still have mine. Also have a tape for it, which has a label-maker label on it designating the tape as "confidential." :lol:

About 5 or 6 in the morning, with the farm report or a church program. Some channels stayed on longer than others. Not sure if any stayed on 24 hours or not, until later. I also remember that big "eye" thing that would come on during "Technical Difficulties." In the late 60's and early 70's there were a lot of technical difficulty interruptions and audio failures.

Yeah, I remember playing that game with the Atari joystick. I had an Intellivision, and I remember the football game being way more complicated than it needed to be. The basketball and baseball games were great, though. The player names in the basketball game were especially hilarious.
