February 20, 201016 yr I had this awesome set as well! I had the Smash Up Derby set too. Those were the coolest things ever! Probably still have the cars -- one of them was orange -- but the doors, hood, trunk lid and wheels are surely long gone. They just don't make good auto accident toys like that anymore. In the SSPs, I think I had Ramjet and a couple others. I think mine had a mirror-like finish on them. Hearing that unmistakable SSP sound in the commercial brought back a lot of memories.

February 20, 201016 yr When I went off to college in 1973, my parents bought me a calculator that could add, subtract, multiply, divide and (gasp!) had a square root function. Only cost $79.99.I still have one of those. I don't think this one even did square roots. The display was all LED lights. Remember LED watches?

February 20, 201016 yr Local kids shows. Where I grew up, it was Captain Chesapeake. We had Mr. Cartoon. I loved that show. Even got to be on it once. Speaking of calculators, what about the Little Professor?

February 20, 201016 yr I had all the following at one time. We still have the Stratego game and play it and Legos are timeless.
February 20, 201016 yr I miss "Chris the Baker Man" from the old Latonia Bakery. He used to drive an old red truck, and would sell fresh baked goods every Saturday morning in the neighborhood. Chris was from Germany and was a very sweet person. I still miss waiting in line at night at the back door of the bakery and watching the bakers making everything.
