Wow, page 2 already. That was a huge win for the Wildcats. A loss tonight would have put them tied with Vandy going into Nashville on Saturday. I thought they were going to go down that same road they took when they lost to South Carolina in Columbia when they started jacking up 3 pointers early in the possession when they got down late in the game, but give them credit they rallied, and came away with a big, big win. They will have to play much, much better come Saturday or Vandy will embarrass them.

And one two away from a triple double.

Was the last UK triple double by Chris Mills?

Yes, Chris Mills in '88.

Big win for the Cats. I think Stansbury was sandbagging a bit. He knows that we're likely to face again in the SEC tournament. He'll be at full strength then. Now these guys believe that they can play with the Cats without their leading scorer & practically without Varnado.

Coach Cal said that Boogie didn't play his best game. I disagree. He was dominate & he passed very, very well out of the double team. I was pleased with his play, although he did not do very well defensively.

Patterson is huge. Tonight, he played like the previous 2 years. He was brilliant.

Bledsoe turns the ball over when he uses his left. The kid is lightning quick & shoots the rock well, but he needs to take better care of the basketball.

I was pleased with Miller & his aggressiveness. He didn't get much PT, but I thought he played well when he was in. He had a few good looks that he took (without thinking about it) and he had a nice floater in the lane.

When the schedule game out, this was one of the games that was being circled. Big win on the road, but still plenty of work to do.

As you can imagine UK fans are having at it on the MSU boards.

If the magic number for the Kentucky fan base is 18%, Mississippi State is looking like 74%.

Miller put together a very solid game. Him, Liggins, and Dodson combine to form the perfect 3.

I wouldn't say "perfect". But they do a good job.

I didn't like the halfcourt timeout at the end of regulation. With 6.8 seconds left, I think you put the ball in Wall's hands and say go to the hoop. Inbouding from midcourt is difficult because you have no momentum going to the rim. It worked out, but I think Wall to the hoop with Patterson/Cousins crashing the boards would have been the best option.

I agree. Give the ball to Wall and see what happens. He can do wonderful things with 6 seconds of time.

This was a rough way to get a W on the road, but a W is a W.

I feel bad that a few fans make the rest look bad. Up until that time, I thought the Miss St crowd was great.

The block non-call was a bad call, but until they showed the replay, I thought it was a good block. Should have been a goal tending call, but it did happen very quickly. Then again, there were some bad calls both ways.

Cousins played solid, but I thought Patterson was huge tonight.

As soon as he flushed it after the rebound, I said "Call Me" for him...then he did lol. No lie.

I loved it when he said "call me" after the rebound and flush. I actually said it for him right before he did it himself...no lie lol.

Really? :p

Best call of the night was at halftime when Jay Williams gave his expert analysis of what MSU needs to do to get back in the game. Do these guys even watch the games their about to talk about?

Great win by the Cats. Great to see Cousins making some nice passes out of the double team tonight. Nice to see Miller be more aggressive and not afraid of making a mistake. Really big three point shot by Liggins. If he doesn't make that three, UK doesn't win this game most likely. Overall as a team need to shoot better from the three. If they must make a couple more, and the game doesn't come down to this. Overall though great win in a tough place to play. Go Cats!

Ugly, ugly, ugly win. Officials were really bad, and UK got a lot of late calls. As Scribe said, the Wall goal-tend & Patterson charge are the two that come to mind.

Concerns me that we beat MSU in this way. Without Johnson playing at all & Varnardo sidelined most of the 2nd half with foul trouble, we should have enforced our will on this team. I'm glad we won, but not impressed with how we did it. If we turn in another performance like that Saturday, it'll get ugly.
