February 17, 201016 yr If the NCAA/SEC wants to curtail the throwing of objects onto the court, then do away with the puny fines and start taking away scholarships. That would get the fans' and coaches' attention.
February 17, 201016 yr Bledsoe stood straight up on almost every defensive possession last night. Very frustrating. The Cats shot 4-24 from three and a lot of those were good looks. That is what kept the game close. That and the fact that MSU would hold the ball forever to shorten the game, I haaaaaaate that. IMO, the poor shooting night from the three point line is what made the difference in this game. If the Cats hit their average this game is not close. They shoot about 37% from be on the arc. That would have been 4 more threes. They go 1 for 12 in the first half 8% and pretty much all the shots where good looks. Both Teams Averaged pretty close to their total game scores: UK-81.3ppg MSU-73.3ppg

February 17, 201016 yr ^ I agree. UK missed a lot of wide open 3 point shots tonight. At least they were taking good shots instead of forced ones.
February 17, 201016 yr Yanking schollys? I'd say start giving out T's and it will stop. Bingo. Start giving out technicals for any water bottles or anything being thrown on the court.
February 17, 201016 yr Yanking schollys? I'd say start giving out T's and it will stop. Definitely... Can't penalize an individual player by taking away his free education just because some stupid fans want to throw bottles.

February 17, 201016 yr Sounds good until the idiots start making road trips and throwing the water bottles. Yeah I thought about that, but something has to be done.
February 17, 201016 yr I have to admit when they got down by 7 with about 3 minutes to go, and I told my brother in law that they were beat. You have to give them credit, they fought back in a very tough enviroment, and pulled out the win. That's something they weren't able to do against South Carolina. I couldn't disagree more. I have loved the way that this team has responded and, even in the one game we've lost, I felt like we were going to win the entire time. This is a nice change of pace from the last two years (and the last 20+ as a Bengals fan). Sounds good until the idiots start making road trips and throwing the water bottles. I can hear them now. "It's the Kentucky fans trying to make us lose our scholarships!"

February 17, 201016 yr What is up with all the techno and other crazy music at South Carolina and MSU? Did anyone notice these schools don't even bring their band to their home basketball games? I thought I saw a tuba or two there last night. I have had my fill of Sandstorm and Zombie Nation. In addition, I don't think Bledsoe walked on that layup. From the sideline view, I thought he did, but from the other angle, I thought it was clean.
February 17, 201016 yr You can disagree all you want, but you're wrong. I still thought they were beat. The point is the attitudes of yesteryear are no longer rampant in the program, myself included.
February 17, 201016 yr Where are all of the non-UK fans praising Cousins for keeping his head and not being a thug?
February 17, 201016 yr The point is the attitudes of yesteryear are no longer rampant in the program, myself included. I agree. I would have turned the tv off, and gone to bed the past two years. I finished watching the game last night.
February 17, 201016 yr Yeah I thought about that, but something has to be done. Here's my theory. If a University knows it's a big game with rivalry possibilities, beef up security. Show them these tapes from WVU, MSU, et al. Instruct them that when a missle flies, send security into the area and aggressively look for someone to squeal on someone else. Once you grab one or two, take them off (even if you can't prosecute them), it will stop because there will then be a fear of reprecussion. Until then, it will keep happening until someone gets hurt.
